Ideas for a suitable S280 hauler?

The M105A3 has the skinny 22.5 but the M103A3 is the same chassis that the M105A2 uses. My thought with bolster tires was to lower the height of the living quarters.

Ideas for a suitable S280 hauler?

M103A3 is the chassis used for the M105. Should be some floating around without a body considering all the bobbed trucks sporting trailer beds.

Deuce Trip from MD to CA

I helped out a member back in about 2010. Did between 625 and 650 miles and was in the saddle for 13 1/2 hours.

    Not sure where to go

Savvy shopping on Ebay netted me 4 of them for less than $100 ea. Retail on them is ludicrous.

    Not sure where to go

I always used Peltor Powercoms. These are a headset with a built in FRS radio. Not only are they a great intercom in the truck but you can talk with other FRS radios in chase vehicles or even with ground guides. VIC1 systems work too and can be integrated with radios. Here in S FL they were...

Ideas for a suitable S280 hauler?

Went through a similar discussion with a friend here. There is just nothing coming out of the inventory that is suitable for your needs. Ultimately he will be building a sub chassis and using a tandem car trailer type suspension. They are not heavy at all. I think I would have a looksee at...

    update on my M1009 purchase

Nice. Congrats on a great MV.

Official '15 Ga. Rally Info thread

Actually, there may be. Since we practice packing out what we pack in, we don't want more than we can burn. JW4x4 and myself have some experience with gauging this. If we start the fire Wednesday, we would probably be limited to a couple of tri-axle dump truck loads using a fire pit about 6'...

Trimming advice / pattern for 35"??

Compare width and offset of the H2 rims and the stock rims. If the H2/rims sport more backspacing, you will have fitment issues. If you can squeeze them in, it will take a wheel real close to stock size.

    LMTV Newbie in SC

Welcome aboard from Sunny S Fla. I remember getting your name tag printed at the rally. Glad you had a good time.

First thought that came to my mind was the Durhamtown Hillbillies.

Next year the registration tent is going to require one piece of firewood from folks coming to the rally. Our only fire was Saturday night! LOL

Trimming advice / pattern for 35"??

Likely both. What is the offset on the H2 rims?

I enjoyed that fire too Dave.

That's funny right there. Mogs don't need any help from me to get quite crispy. That one in my avatar has the much lauded "Heated Seats"

Crap, I had 2 of those too! No, I'm thinking maybe some Swedish torches or better. Maybe we can come up with a community fire like years past as long as we can keep folks from lighting the entire woodpile.

Thanks to Quadjeeper for taking and posting a few pics of Rally Command/Registration and the NAPA truck. I never make time to get pics. This year I had more time than ever and still didn't see all I wanted to see. It also took until Saturday night to get some type of a fire going near the...

A obvious question that i can't find the answer to.

You can find the answer if you want to but you can't be bothered to look for it according to your statement

    Mobile Alabama was STUCK

As for facebook, I don't wish it an evil death but I elect not to use it. If folks need my assistance or Ron's, they know where to find us.

    Mobile Alabama was STUCK

Nathan is a good troop. He came up to hang out with the registration folks after hours and got a few little pieces off the NAPA truck at the GA Rally. Glad to see him involved.
