Break the rules and get banned?

My opinion is yes, that there should be some negative reinforcement for breaking the rules. The old crap about "Oh, I didn't know" shouldn't cut it-lack of knowledge about a law doesn't exonerate a person (imagine trying to defend yourself for murder or speeding: "OH! I didn't know there...

    Gun ring finished

Did you ever get a chance to measure yours? Thanks Left. Because it's a lots more complex than you'd think, plus the heft of the materials would necessitate serious dies and whatnot to actually stamp/form/whatever the raw parts. There probably aren't enough buyers out there at the...

    M38A! Fuel pump?

This is the original. Fuel and air pump. Do they need to be primed? To run? It's quite helpful! And that's why the military included a priming lever directly on the pump.

    Deuce Cab Cover Options

After having deuces now for almost 5 years, I would definitely recommend to anyone that they invest in a cheap aluminum carport if they do not have a garage they can keep the vehicle in. The issues of tire dry rot, cab and cargo bed cover fatigue are great enough to justify the $5-700 investment.

    Voltmeter replacement: Will this work?

The one in clintogf's M1009 was markedly different. The gauge is lit using a bulb that snaps in the back, not the "side lighting" that the M-series trucks use. I don't remember it having a packard connector either, but I can't remember if it has a stud and an eyelet or a wiring connector. I...

    Gun ring finished

Hey everybody, clintogf just got an M66 setup and she needs a mounting plate (see attachment) as well. We have a friend who says he can fab a replacement, so either dimensions or a real size template. We'd prefer a template. Obviously we'd take a plate too. gracias C

    I want a Mule

I always back mine into the trailer, so the foot baskets are at the rear. This is easier to load and unload and also allows me to leave the front rack in. I leave the rear rack off, as the foot basket(s) protrude about 6" past the tailgate. You can see in one of these pictures GoldComet6 took...

    I want a Mule

Mules are out there, in various places like eBay, classifieds sections on MV sites (like this one!), occasionally on Craigslist and through word of mouth. They are pretty expensive to purchase and certain parts can be expensive. The best source of parts is Bill Watson. (Home) I think since...

    Father just bought a 1952 M38A1

At $500 you did ok (probably good), but it will need a LOT to get back in action. Ignoring the mechanical issues (brakes, fuel and ignition issues, etc.) someone has cut a tailgate into it (A1's didn't have tailgates), looks like the military wiring and carburetor are long gone, etc. So you'll...

    2011 GA rally Definite dates???

We have had rally swap/trade/for sale/looking for threads in the past. I suppose we will have one again for this year. Once I put the official info thread up, I will probably put up a swap thread at the same time. Expect the official threads soon.
