I have occasionally seen decon units mounted outside. I think the floor is the most common. I have a hardtop truck where it's mounted on the inside of the hardtop at the rear corner.
There have been dozens of fire extinguisher brackets over the years, so it is possible it was one of the many...
All of that sounds like what I would do but I would add resizing the rods and definitely replace the cylinders and pistons-they are too cheap not to.
Also replace the injector pump lubrication hoses and all the fuel system hose.
Once you have done all that, add better filters and a pre-lube...
I am reupholstering one of clintogf's springers and there are two locks with an connecting rod. I can shoot pics tonight if needed.
Also, there is a return spring on each lock-I know this because somehow both were broken on hers.
edit: I just noticed in your finished seat, the lever to move...
Looks very good.
How did you do the letters?
Regarding blast cabinets, I have an awesome cabinet I am thrilled with. It's big, has excellent filtration (no dust), doors on each end and good lighting (recessed fluorescents). A company in NC makes them. Their site is: BLAST-IT-ALL®...

One of those pictures is a deuce interior.
Thanks!

I keep telling clintogf if I sold both my deuces, the M105 and the Mule and she sold all her deuces and the CUCV we could buy a DUKW.
That's about the time she starts rolling her eyes at me.
Congratulations-looks really solid. We'd love to see some more pictures of it :D
Man I love those things. I saw a great site yesterday full of DUKW videos........

I have been told and read in numerous places that filtered engines should take detergent oil and non filtered engines should take straight, non-detergent oil.
So I have been using 30W detergent Penzoil in mine, but that's just what my local supplier carries in 30W detergent oil. If Rotella...
The Dixie Division of the MVPA always has a lot of high quality images on their website of these events.
I really want to go one of these years, those guys put on a top notch event. I just can't ever seem to make the time.
