What I've noticed (in DRMS listings) is that equipment in Jersey seems to be uniformly trashed/rode hard and put up wet. Don't they know how to take care of equipment in the "Garden State"? Maybe NY City spillover.
Bastard threads are most often found on the two coast or in medium or larger cities/metro areas (250000+) Smaller communities mostly are going to have standard NH.
It looks to me like DOD standard for 1-1/2" is/has been NPSH (standard pipe thread) in 25ft lengths. At least that is all that...
You want an angle on an M915 series. Go see your local Fire Dept. FD can get at no cost from their state forester (as least in st..ates that aren't fools). Thru the FFP they get the truck including title. Have 2 years to convert to fire truck (paint and whatever else they determine is...
If a commie pinko arty or aviation unit were to place a chemical agent upon your head/equipment, you would use these to spray down that areas you need to touch while continuing the operation of the vehicle/piece of equipment. Spot decontamination of blister/nerve/etc agent. And yes, supposed...
You can bet the HAZMAT fees are going to cost you a bunch. Small in size but likely can go by air.
Sam has overhauled and painted vehicles in Eurp for nearly 70 years. There has to be some surplus paint around in Germany.
Good deal. When that unit was on DRMS the listing was something like "unknown condition, has not been started or used in many years....." You never know.
What a load of BS. Govliquidation has no more liability over what you do with your "new" truck before (or after) they hand you the paperwork/keys than Walmart has for your new golfclubs. Govliq doesn't even OWN the equpment. Owned by Sam.
They don't want to help guysload/PU M923 then put...
You can, in theory, get a cold CAFS system out of DOD surplus. Have seen several listed in the last couple years. A small wheeled cart type. Would in fact make a great HMMWV system.
When/where did you have a Milspec HMMWV in fire use? On active duty? To my knowledge only recently release...
I said M35A3 I did not say M35.
1.) A full 600gal pod is 5400lb. Add a couple FF equipment etc at NFPA1901 and over the offroad 5000lb payload rating.
I have 10 baffled pods I picked up from DRMO sitting within 100ft me. You can come see them if you like or can get you a interior photo...
Anyone in Carson area? Have a local Iowa FD that has a set of jaws and cutter at Carson DRMO. They are trying to figure out how to get to a UPS store (or other reliable pack and ship). Anyone able to help them out?
Floyd IA FD
Chief Ben Chatfield...
Thanks for the info. and will keep offer in mind. A lot of surplus thru the system in Alaska that seems to have little competion from other Fire Dept in requesting (harder to inspect/ship/etc).
As far as I know they are still working on how to P/U and ship. Will pass your info along.
Because until yesterday they were coded for cops/LESO only. DRMS says in error. Perhaps a sheriff needed a place to park his M998 and a friendly fire station helped him out.
