    Thinking about getting an M-35A2

I'm building #2 right now, using an M109 as a starting point. Except I'm going a little bit further, building a rig that I'm planning on living in full-time. Don't know what your expectations are, but I'd budget AT LEAST $10,000-15,000 to build something like what you're proposing. The thing is...

    source for exhaust gaskets

Tried that today and the guys there just looked at me like I was an idiot. Said they had NEVER seen gaskets like that. I know they're not too uncommon, but need to be able to tell them exactly what I need. Guess maybe I could try going to an exhaust shop?

How does the multifuel engine actually work?

I've been too busy/lazy until now to bother looking into it, but I'm curious. How does these multifuel engines actually work? Why are these engines able to run on all these different fuels?

Feeler: Turbo kit for the Diesels

What ever happened with this project? I just found this thread while searching for info on adding an external wastegate to the stock turbo, and this was the only relevant post I could find.

Which multi-fuel heater for this application?

So, what do you guys think about using one of these as an alternative heat source for the radiant heating that I've built into the floor of my M109 motorhome conversion? I've got a propane-fired tankless water heater that I'm planning to use as the main heat source, and I'm planning on making...

    source for exhaust gaskets

I just got my new D-series turbo back from Ken, and I've got the turbo install gaskets, but I need those three gaskets for the flex-pipe that connects the turbo to the J-pipe. Are these parts that I can buy at a local parts store (like NAPA), or do I need to order them from an MV parts supplier?

    1 piece wheels

I just bought a set of Firestone T831 11.R20 radials, but haven't figured out what wheels I want to mount them on. I've already flipped the hubs so I can run them as singles. I'd like to mount these tire on a set of modified HEMTT wheels, but they're too wide. The Canadian bead-locked wheels are...

    Remote Brake Fluid Reservoir

Thanks for all the good ideas guys. I've spent a lot of time looking for the perfect tank to use for this application, and I've pretty much settled on this 2-quart aluminum coolant recovery tank from Canton Racing Products. I'm thinking that I'll use the bottom port to feed the master cylinder...

    Installed remote brake reservoir today

Nice. I'm ordering parts to do this conversion right now, and I think I'll follow your lead and use hardline.

    Cost of "NEW" WWII "Jeep"

I've done it. Not a WWII Jeep, but a scratch-built CJ7. Custom frame, kevlar tub, etc. ALL new. The tailgate was literally the only real Jeep parts left of my original Jeep. If you're building something that is going to be so highly modified that there's nothing left of the original Jeep (or...

Which multi-fuel heater for this application?

Thanks for posting! I'm definitely interested. How does the model you have compare to Gimpy's? Is it diesel-only, or multi-fuel? Do those heaters have the wick, or are they the ceramic ones? Do you have any controllers or other stuff I might need to install/use it? Sorry for all the questions, I...

Primer on modern tire upgrades for the deuce?

I'm planning on running single Firestone T831 11.R20 radials on mah deuce, but haven't figured out what wheels I want to mount them on. I'd like to run modified HEMTT wheels, but they're too wide. The Canadian bead-locked wheels are a viable option, but I would prefer wheels with even less...

front tire wear on the deuce

I was thinking the same thing, but I just got an air-shift transfer-case and I'm planning on running locking hubs on as many axles as I can afford to put them on. I'll probably get awesome wear if I unlock the hubs on all three axles, huh? How much weight are the front axles of those big trucks...

front tire wear on the deuce

Hah. I still think yer pulling my leg, but thanks for checking. That's crazy. I'd have been thrilled to get 50,000 miles out of them. I figured the rears would wear pretty well, but would have guessed the fronts would be toasted in 20,000 miles or less. Wasn't sure if it would end up making more...
