DOD tailight module. If have brakes on (brakelight lit) do you get turnsignal flashing when hit turn signal switch? Or is function only one? Civ have element for each in the same bulb. Looks like DOD brake/turn signal is only one function at a time.

Wouldn't be less expensive time/material to just buy a different trailer? Hardly rare item. What you have is likely more valuable more useful for typical user as equipped than a stock mil chassis.
