Good call, Gimp.
I hadn't had my on there long enough for the plastic to even start degrading.
Of course, here in west Texas, rust is seldom a problem. There just ain't enough humidity really for much condensation to accumulate in the air tanks either. But it's still "best practices" to vent it...
Yeah.
Don't camp under railroad bridges when high winds are expected...

Only kidding.... But that video does show how much stronger winds can be above all the ground...
OK, here's an easy one....
TOO many truckers and MV operators FAIL this simple PM step it's ridiculous.
Next time you're under your truck opening the cocks on your air tanks to blow off any condensation accumulation, think about picking up and swapping in a pair of "pull string" type relief...
Yes, sadly, many mv's have been senselessly mutilated by circumcising the instrument clusters right out of them and then being left to bleed to death and rust away 'cause few have the patience to resuscitate them back into an active motor pool.
Our local PD has some trucks with radiant gauges...
What happens at the LA Rally stays at he LA Rally...... But we now have photographic evidence plastered all over Mr. Gore's internets.
If you build it they will come.
Remember that once you cross the state line into their fine state you MUST address these LEOs by their CAJUN title: La PO-PO.
Also, be sure to speak with at least a French accent if you cannot muster FULL-CAJUN mode.
Carry on.
On Thursday I prepped the Deuce for San Angelo's second annual Touch-A-Truck event.
Added 30 gallons of WVO to the fuel tank. Stopped by O'Reilly's and got a 16 ounce bottle of SEAFOAM. Then I drove her over to the local Diesel Pumps where I poured the SEAFOAM into the tank as an ALGAE...
I would like to dedicate this thread to the B-47 and kick it off with this video...

Carry on.
I appreciate the opinion you've shared. Point well taken.
-------------------
I know this video has been shared in these forums at least a couple of times in the past.
Now is a good time to put its message to use again.
If you don't have the right tools (clothes) for the job, STAY AWAY...
Allow me to help you recognize the hazard warning here.
We own and operate typically BIG green IRON TRUCKS, often in situations that cause us to be VERY NEAR to ENERGIZED POWER LINES. Yes, this thread's superficial thrust was triggered by a couple of thieves, that true brunt of our message...
Regardless of the age of the story and accompanying photo, TIME STOPPED INSTANTANEOUSLY for the perpetrators.
And suddenly a message flashed before their eyes.....
GAME OVER !
This was shared to me on facebook.
Seems some copper stealin' homies are now CRISPY CRITTERS....
Ironically, Bubba's last words were: "I knows its safe! I don't see no 'lectristy flowin' through da cable."
One of the funeral directors here at the funeral home where I work commented that...
I vote for FIBERGLASS.
Unlike wood, it NEVER warps, splits, cracks or splinters. It holds paint more permanently, too.
I have had one bolt head pull through a slat and some resultant fiber fraying and exposure around the enlarged hole. But a pair of oversize washers and some touch-up paint...
Gotta luv the enthusiasm of the TOUCHY-FEELY kids (both small and large) that attend the Touch-A-Truck events.
Here in San Angelo, TX the women's group - The Junior League - sponsors it locally.... This Saturday 4/18/15. I was planning to post an after action report for everyone's viewing...
