Retired War Horses always seems to have excellent insight. Claims should always be made with proof.
That being said, this unit being designed seems to be a total plug-in without drilling or cutting. That makes it interesting.
I'd be willing to do laser thermostat reading before and after using...

Not cheap but this will be the route I eventually go. I will consider a better transfer case at the same time.
First fix her up and shake her out. Then upgrades.

It's obvious that you're going to buy this POS, that didn't even sell on Flea-Bay. (I wonder why?)
I'm sorry but I just can't bear to follow you or this thread because you're making a mistake despite all the warning signs being out there for you to see.
If 18K is your budget then 10K should be for the car, 1K for titling and insurance, and 7K for repairs and upgrades and rainy day expenditures.
Glad you're making a rational decision.

I understand your point however this was about helping this person TODAY. I was not thinking about posterity and I would have trouble cutting and pasting ALL those linked images.
Thanks and I understand.
My point is the new people should consider looking at the classifieds on this BB to get...
I will be blunt. Florida has issued guidelines regarding the titling of these vehicles, and their decision to begin to revoke titles on some of these vehicles. You need to read the thread by "infidel got me" Re: titling these vehicles in Florida and how they may lose credentialing.

I have been thinking about this. If you are willing to go for a very basic shape with a flatish door and angled in upper door with window, you can buy a torn set of fabric doors. You would need to remove the fabric and place a fleece blanket all around and then pin or sew it into place. You...
Might I make a suggestion. Tape some Saran wrap or wax paper to the floor where you plan to cut. Make your fiberglass filler plate on top of this barrier. Make it larger than the intended hole. Make it thick. Then let the fiberglass cure and removal it and then removed the Saran wrap or wax...
There are a bunch of guys in Cali. I seem to recall RetiredWarHorses is one of them. I would suggest you start there. I've seen him here and on other BB's and he has a deep wealth of knowledge.
These fiberglass doors are not that great for heat or cold. LizardSkin is the way to make any door a better heat and sound shield.
I've seen the "Plan B" doors online and they look great IMHO. Your time could then be better spent making custom "X" patterns to glass up to the doors and paint...
I truly respect what you are trying to accomplish but I can say in all honesty that by the time all is said and done, buying the X-doors will be a cheaper and easier option IMHO.
You need to make 4 unmatched molds, and then make or buy all the fiddly bits like window slides and locking...
I found my power steering pump is leaking like a sieve. Hooray!
Too cold to look for exact area to see if this is the pump or the hoses.
I received my compartment divider to create a rear storage bay. Also received alternator swap kit to add a 200Amp unit. Then a 12V battery will be added to...
