The idel place would be in a rack hooked to the hard top (assuming you have a hard top).

At the last machine gun shoot I went to me and Jon (Freighttrain) were scrounging through one of the target vehicles.....scored a bunch of chump change and some small tool items.
I pulled up the back seat and a possum (one of Elmos cousins no doubt) scooted out....he hissed at me a darted out...

I got mine when I didn't chock the work deuce and it rolled into the front of my big van trailer.....new radiator, hood, grill and side panels for the deuce.....new glad hands for the van. Dumb can be expensive.:roll:
I'm sure they consolidate small pickups. They have a good working relationship with the GL site out there.
They combined my shipment with one headed to South Alabama.
I got my stuff moved for a lot less than a regular commercial shipper.
Contact them again....sometimes things slip throught...
Were the tires advertised as new? Were they mounted on rims and holding air?
If you buy a bag of apples at the flea market chances are that the bad ones will be on the bottom.
This is just my opinion, for what it's worth, but it's harder to get rid of junk tires than good ones.
The GL...
That seems like a lot for a pickup......It should not be that hard to access Fort Knox....it has mostly been deactivated.
Why does it have to be hauled off base......it should be loaded right at the GL site.
I would look for a local truck broker who is looking for a back haul to your area...
