    A2 cruising speeds

Driving a deuce sends me into a Zen like state where I just cruise along and enjoy the scenery.....on four lane roads this is not a problem. When you get on the two lane and the MOTD in his Beamer wants to pass you on a blind curve is where it issues start. If I see that I have collected a...

    Were to find M416 tires?

There is a company (Coker, I think) that advertises in Supply Line Magazine that makes reproduction tires for a lot of vintage MV's. Coker Tire - Buy Vintage Tires and Wheels You might give them a shot.

    Will car batteries work?

I had two high CCA batteries from Tractor Supply (Boss Lady works there) in my M915 and never had an issue cranking the 400 Cummins even when it was cold here. You can take 2x4's and crib them up to keep them from sliding around.....if you are going to off road I would secure them in case of a...

    Ballpark price range

If I were going to buy a deuce now I would not pay more than 3500 for one with a hard top and heater...if you want a winch add a thousand bucks to that. For that money you can now buy a M915 or M900 series cargo truck....the days of the 1000 dollar deuce from GL are over. They seem to sell...

2 M37s Saved from the scrapper

M105a3 trailer, ugly yes or no?

I would put 1100x20 radials on stock deuce rims on it and call it good.

    Louisville Ky bound!

I see Murphy is otherwise engaged....might be a good time for me to go out and work on my deuce.

    M923 air brake work arounds....

Sounds like you have it covered. The front brakes don't usually lock up when there is no air on the system. You need to check for damage on the rear axle...when they lifted the truck they may have damaged the air chambers....I have see it before on trucks loaded or moved around by GL...

    Amazing engine

Found this on Wiki: In the years leading up to WWII, as the need for armored vehicles was realized, designers were faced with the problem of how to power the vehicles, and turned to using aircraft engines, among them radial types. The radial aircraft engines provided greater power-to-weight...

    Amazing engine

I didn't mean to imply that the pictured engine was a gasser.....we had a Sherman as a gate guardian at my last unit.....the Unit Historian owned it (well....he said he owned it...long story) and told me that it had a radial gasser in it.....it had been rescued from a range and had more than one...

Adding an under wheel lift to a m936 or m816

When I had my money pit (M816) I had a farm policy with Progressive....when I told the agent what the M816 was she said if you tow anything with it, even your own stuff, and have an accident we will not pay the claim.......we will however sell you Commerical Tow Insurance at a price you can't...

    Amazing engine

I think the raidial engines were in the Shermans......I don't think they were diesel...they ran on high octane gas.....the Germans called them "Tommie Cookers" since they burned easily if hit by a round from a Panzer or Tiger tank.
