Looking for a M274 Mule Questions

Oh, I can't take any credit for the condition of the mule-Maccus did all the work. All I've done was a clutch replacement (pressure plate collapsed), replaced brakes, replaced a front pinion seal and finished wiring up the headlight Maccus installed. But thanks nonetheless :-D

My deuce, finally done! (for the most part..lol)

Yeah, I'd like to see it at the rally as well. I like the shortened bed-has a really modern feel to it. Cool!

Looking for a M274 Mule Questions

I like 2WS-to me the 4WS models feel funny at any pace above a brisk walk. The downside is the turning radius on the 2WS models is roughly equivalent to a deuce. Try to drive both and decide for yourself. You can add a second seat (without permanently modifying the mule as well) and it...

    PTO Poppet washer

Gringeltaube is truly one of our expert "deuce whisperers"-all we need to do now is convince him to plant his antisocial backside into an airplane seat and come to some of our rallies! :-D

Unrelated Questions From a Relative Beginner

You are quite welcome. My search-fu comes from much practice, grasshopper. These trucks are notoriously finicky about electrical grounds, I think I would throw a mechanical gauge on it temporarily in order to establish a known baseline. We have an diverse crowd of extreme modifiers and hot...

    brake upgrade

As Tom said, pinion brakes are problematic for our application. There is a 5+ page thread on pinion brakes where the mechanical issues are explained and sorted in a very complete way. Again, there are TONS of threads which discuss which parts are necessary, what the process is of obtaining...

Yes, this is a complaint I share with you. I know fresh, new threads get more views than old ones and we are in the process of trying to get (train) the membership to pay attention to older threads so that what happened to you will become less common. I have had the same problem. The worst is...
