There are many types of sand. Living at the beach all my life, sand here is kinda loose, soft. requiring lowering air in any type vehicle unless you want it to have to pull its butt off. In Marines drove in desert sand for 2 years. Was different. More course with some soft parts. Since you will...
Thanks for the information guys. Also was wondering about just how much they were used. I am not familiar at all with arty or tanks but as far as trucks are concerned or the maintenance of them. I cant imagine how much these would be used. Almost never I would suspect. Most parts in the last 50...
I wondered the same thing myself. About how user friendly they are. Defiantly a fair weather work space. I'm not even sure they would keep rain off you. Especially blowing. Would be curious to hear from someone who used/uses one. Still really cool piece of equipment.
A couple of years ago I was at a local junk yard buying some new mounted 900x20s and ran across the trailer model. Guy wanted $5000 for it. Which isn't bad since it had all the machinery in it. I don't really need the machinery as I already have a mill and lathe in the shop. But was really cool...
I buy a case at a time but I have a boat load of equipment that needs greasing. If you only have the M35 to grease I'd buy 3-4 tubes and not have to buy anymore for awhile. I did use 1 and part of another greasing the M813 couple weeks ago.
on My M931 I had crude in the port where the pressure protection switch/valve is. The valve was full of crude as well. On the end of the wet tank. Not CTIS related since it doesn't have it. But did cause issues with everything that wont work unless air pressure is about 80 psi or so.
Replaced the steering wheel. We have had our M35 for 3 years and this cold winter seemed to work on the steering wheel. Cracked into big pieces. So...all new for the summer. Plus took it for out weekly ride. Only about 10 miles but enough to get engine up to temperature and keep batteries...
Good idea Beerslayer, but no one is supposed to be that comfortable in an MV:D
I think the specs for these trucks came from the 40's when everyone was small.
As long as your happy with the transaction that's great. They really should give you an option though. Money back or other parts you may want/need and were going to buy anyway.
OK RodUSMC1962 and Papabear...you are way older than me...I did have indoor plumbing growing up. Spoiled aren't I? Although we did heat with wood.
Thanks everyone for the update on Rapco!!!
Same in MD, only tractors get the tag with stickers on the front only. All other trucks here get tags front and back. I figured if they ever gave me any grief for not having the front tag on, Id just mount the tag on a magnet like a dealer tag. Then just pop off once at the shows or parade.
Easy mistake really, especially if in a hurry and several guys changing tires. You know how guys get talking while working and not paying attention sometimes. Easy fix though, but if the tire hadn't went flat I wouldn't have found it so easy.
To get rid of the shake I was thinking about taking...
I agree. I have been buying truck parts for 30 years [fleet maintenance] and have never had a vendor, who gave me the wrong part, charge a restock fee. I too would like to know who does that.
I have had a vendor charge a restock fee on a part that my parts man gave them the part # and they...
Going through my M931 since I've only had it a few months and noticed a pretty good shake which seemed to be in the front. To make a long story short, had a front right tire go flat. So I broke it down and found that who ever put the new tires on the truck [yes, the truck has all new Goodyears...
I made tag brackets that use the left rear tail light bolts. None on the front although we are supposed to. But do whatever you state requires, or what you can get away with!
