    MEP-002A and -003A main breaker

To verify the main breaker will hold on a motor load. I replaced the bad capacitor on my 5hp 2 stage compressor. Hooked up shop to the gen and with just a small grunt it started the compressor fine. Had lights, fans etc and compressor running at 50% load on the generator. So as far as I am...

    MEP-002A and -003A main breaker

I believe that's the same. Mine is also a Baldor 1725 motor. Its about 30 years old been a great compressor. Seems to me the breakers, at least on mine are fine and will start a motor load. I am very impressed with the MEP-003a so far compared to my gas engine civilian models. Although I do...

    MEP-002A and -003A main breaker

Well my MEP-003a will run my whole shop. Mill, lathe and many other pieces of equipment. I even turned a bunch on and hit the sub feed breaker, No problem. But....It would not start my 5hp, 2 stage compressor. but after doing some checking found my compressor has one of two start capacitors bad...

    Ocean City Md Jeep week

Was just looking at their web site and they have changed some from years past. The show and shine they used to have on Saturday was nice and our trucks could fit. Looks like they moved it to Friday now at the convention hall. Its a bigger parking lot but will probably be less people as most of...

    Driving thru sand

Glad you all had a good time and things worked like they should. Great pics. I don't disagree that super singles are better, I would choose them over duals. I just meant that duals will also go as well. Guess what I'm saying is no need to run out and spend $$$$ on super singles if your truck...

    MEP Starter Issue--Not lockout switch?-Help

Just had this same problem on one of my "new" MEP-003As. Did some checking and found bad connection at starter lock out switch. Had continuity through contacts but not at ring terminal on switch. Replaced ithe ring terminal with new one, now good to go.

    Driving thru sand

Super singles are awesome but duals will do it too. Just 4 less tires to let air out of. LOL

    Driving thru sand

Same problem we have here on Assateague national seashore. No 3 axle trucks. I cant figure why as one axle follows the other duh! 10+ miles of beach go figure. I remember as a kid seeing a DUCK riding down the beach. That was way before more govt rules. Keep making more laws will ya!!!

    Rattle can'ing a M923

For those hard to get at spots on the frame or heavier sheet metal, a needle scaler works well. Nothing beats total sand blasting but it is expensive and time consuming and messy.

    Driving thru sand

Hope you have fun and weather good for you. We're going down to Salvo for 2 weeks in September after our season ends here. Never had super singles on anything interesting about the bead lock.

    Driving thru sand

I don't get to take mine on the beach here but I think your right Rusty on your pressure settings. You can always try at the CTIS settings and if pulls hard do as Rusty says and lower further. I go to the outer banks every fall for 2 weeks and the sand there is just like here. I'd keep enough...

Need help to identify this tool.

Well you identified it but didn't tell him what its for. There are tons of spanner wrenches made for all kinds of custom applications. Thanks Jeepsinker and Carnac for answering his question and my curious mind. Would be cool especially if need to turn the crank in the opposite direction of the...

    Driving thru sand

That was cool video. Loved the wave going in through the windows!! Looking at those pictures probably didn't need to let any air out. Looked like a lot of fun. Thanks for pics/video.

    Driving thru sand

I've replaced many on line trucks where the crew got it in sand and or soft dirt and hoped the heck out of it. But that usually only happens loaded, not empty. Line buckets are always loaded unlike most of our MVs. Mostly that has been on 6 wheelers, cant remember one on a 10 wheeler but have...

    Driving thru sand

Figured you would be fine. Not that there shouldn't be caution, but some folks make mountains out of mole hills...or sand hills.. LOL
