Greater minds and experience than mine will pitch-in, but I believe the chain is commonly a way to lock off the steering wheel as a theft deterrent. Or, you could also put a spare key on the end of it. :jumpin::mrgreen:

I hear you talking: - Back when I backpacked my favorite season was winter: no crowds, no biting bugs, big vistas (no leaves); you just had to handle the cold which really isn't that tough (eskimos figured it out way back). But I'm too lazy to camp now, glamp maybe. But did my camping; all done!

You're a brave man, plowboy. I would be "sore afraid" of hanging up any of those beautiful vehicles in that soft ground you drive them on. But I guess if you'll eat purple potatoes then there's nothing in this world you fear.
