I only had a short coversation with the gent....not sure if the VFW supports a food bank or not.
If anyone wants to bring some non-perishable food we can give it to them and they can donate it to a local one on behalf of Steel Soldiers and the VFW.
I have several antenna mounts that came off the Freightliner cabs my buddy scrapped out....I'll try to post some pics but they look like most military antenna mounts. Prob let them go for 20 a pop.
Bumper numbers were used by unit to mark their specific vehicles. Sometimes the military registration number (the way the military keeps track of its vehicles) was stinciled on the hood or somewhere else.
You need VIN that is on the data plate and should be on the SF-97 that came from GL (if the...
I contacted a gentlemen at the VFW and he seemed very excited to have the convoy stop there....he even offered to feed us although I had memtioned bringing food with us for the Vets.
The post is stituated up on a slight hill and has a long circular driveway that would allow the convoy to park...

He has a lot of guages from the new Freightliner cabs but they are all electronic and may not be useful to anyone....I'll bring some just in case.
Rebuilt means all systems were gone through and replaced/rebuilt to include engine/driveline, etc.
Refurbished can mean just checking out the systems and replacing things that are obviously bad.
There were several facilities that did complete rebuilds......Red River, Camp Shelby and Anniston...
