    they're not lauging now

Great use of surplus equipment....I just bought a diesel 10K a few weeks ago. I am assuming you had a disconnect switch that kept your power from back feeding the grid. If not you could be fined or held liable if someone working on the lines were to be killed or injured. Safety first.

mixing wvo and wmo, so far so good

I would thin it down with some gasoline to help it go through the in tank pump and the IP.......maybe 10 gallons in a 50 gallon batch...it will thin it down and give it some more heat value.

Hi from GA and HELP !

DAMIFINO.....maybe some of the subject matter experts can wade in. I know the hood was modified and I know the air cleaner was big and sticking up on the passenger side. There was also some sheet metal difference on the front. If you can use one I am not that far away from Winder.

Hi from GA and HELP !

I sold all of the first batch I bought......I thought I had bought a lot of 5 ton fenders the next week but they were a few deuce ones in the bunch. I have new 5 ton fenders too......all right hand side.

    Sellable value for a M35A3

I have been driving deuces (and other MV's) since 1974....starting with the N/A multi-fuel and then the A2's. I was never in a unit that had the A3's but I am not a fan of them for several reasons. Automatic transmission....try push starting it out in the boonies when there is no vehicle to...

Wreckerman and Elmo on the move

I have to take the blame for that indignity.....I asked Ziggy to get a big cooler so we could have cold drinks and water available when we got to rest stops. The Suburban was loaded to the gills in the back and the front seat was the only place it would fit.....since GIP is so petite she was...

    best 5-ton tractor

The 932 is still rated at a lot lower capacity than the M915......I guess it depends on what your gross weight is going to be.....if you will be hauling over 25,000 pounds you will be overloading the 5-ton (M932). The M915 is rated for highway loads on par with commercial rigs. The M916 is...

a Deuce has come into my life

If it has been sitting a while you need to change all fuel filters and check the brake fluid and all the wheel cylinders. Another good idea is to drain the fuel tank to get any accumulated crud out of it.......put fresh diesel in it and run that awhile before you start experimenting with alt...

Wreckerman and Elmo on the move

This is coming from one guy that was a road guard when Moses parted the Red Sea and the other that was Loadmaster for Noah's Arc. :-P :-P

    best 5-ton tractor

Having just drove a M915 from New Jersey to Neberaska(and having owned both the M915 and 916) I can tell you that it is a Caddilac compared to the M818.......for what you want the 900 series is best....and you will not pay that much more for a M915. They do require a CDL, DOT Medical Card, ICC...

M52A2 on WVO only (like frybird )

It would be a good candidate.....you do not have to heat the whole tank...you can use an in-line heat exchanger that uses the coolant to heat the oil. As oil is returned via the return line it will heat the veggie in the tank. There is a down side to this as the cooling oil can cause...

Wreckerman and Elmo on the move

The mission went mostly as planned....early on we had some tire issues that cost us time and milage the first day. The vehicles performed almost flawlessly...only had to change fuel filters on the deuce one time. The M915's ran great and held speed when needed......I didn't keep close track of...

    Load Bank?

They are big and heavy...shipping would be a beotch unless you could get them shipped via "SS Express".

    Storm Chasing

I have seen high winds blow over railroad cars and destroy pre-stressed concrete and steel construction.......riding around in a tornado in a light vehicle (even an up armored one) is a good way to wake up dead. A deuce armored with 1/4 plate steel would still only top out at around 20-25,000...
