    My V17 has arrived.

    Very nice! Congratulations!

    MEP-003A ASK Insulation Improvement

I have had good results with the automotive sound deadener called "Dynamat". It is mostly used for stereo stuff, but does a nice job of reducing engine noise in hot rods, too.

    M125 Bows

I doubt a 5-ton cover will work, unless you shorten the staves. Even then, you would have to use a canvas cover, since the vinyl has molded corners. 96" INSIDE is way different than 96" OUTSIDE, which is what a normal 5-ton bed is, last I checked. The bed on an M125 covers the rear wheels, and...

    Straight stacked my M923

:funny: Now that you point it out, I can *almost* see the appeal!rofl

    Using a M1102 as a M197

Very nice. Those internal tie-downs are awfully handy.

    Straight stacked my M923

Well, you said "Good or bad"... Personally, I just don’t get it… not on a Dodge pickup, military truck, or any other truck (or even on a car). The severely oversized exhaust stack is a phenomenon whose appeal eludes me (said in my best Dr. Sheldon Cooper voice).:D Maybe I am just suffering...

Mep's from Ft Meade or Chambersburg to Chester county, PA

Yeah, I can see that. It has happened to many of us, me included. I would help if I could, but I'm not terribly close to Meade, and I haven't won anything lately. :(

Mep's from Ft Meade or Chambersburg to Chester county, PA

OK. No offense here, but why in the world did you bid on (and win) items that you knew you would not be able to recover yourself, without making previous arrangements with someone?

    Rusty crusty wrecker recovery

Congrats! Wow, Multifuels never cease to amaze me! Man, that body is sad. At least the battery box couldn't rust!

    Best gear ratio/mpg combo?

I had a gasser K10 with 3.08's and swapped it to 3.73's and they were perfect for towing, but still got decent (if you know mid-80's Chevy gassers, you know that should be read as "semi-lousy") mileage with the OD.

5 ton cold start pump info

I don't know where you might find a new one. My recommendation would be just don't use it. I've never actually had an occassion where my truck would not start with just part-throttle application. Maybe add an ether start kit instead?

    Hello

Welcome aboard! Good luck in your search. Lots of nice trucks available out there.

    M62 in South Carolina

:ditto: And, it has the fender mount air cleaner, so it's not a gasser. Is it a Mack or Mutlifuel? Could be a converted M62, but they are less common than M543A2's, and I'll bet diesel-converted M62's WITH a Garwood bed are even LESS common. :)

    GL biddin

The last big truck I got hauled cost me $2 per loaded mile, but that was over a year ago, so I wasn't sure if the rates had gone up. Although, fuel is not really much more now than it was then, so it makes sense.

    GL biddin

I'll bet if you call around you could get it hauled for $2.50-$3.00 per mile. $4.00 sounds pretty high to me. 2cents

    GL biddin

https://www.govliquidation.com/help/index.html Find your truck. Scroll down. Enter bid and submit. If you use a credit card, you must enter it at that point.

    Rotten Murphy!!

    Man, that stinks. Good luck.

    Rotten Murphy!!

Yeah, I'm confused? Is this truck still in the GL lot?:-?

    Hissing sound, trans related?

Let me clarify what I said. If the leak is audible over the engine noise, it would be a BIG leak, which, to me, would mean the shifting would be noticeably affected, which did not sound like the case here?

    Hissing sound, trans related?

I was thinking this after I re-read your post. If you can hear it over the engine at highway speeds, it is not a vacuum leak. Alternator bearings? Take the belts off and sping them by hand to see how noisy they are.
