:doh: Crap.....I forgot that there was a plastic tube in there......it should still allow the tank to fill.....since I'm not planning to heat the oil over 120 degrees maybe it won't melt.
The fittings on top of the tank were so corroded into the tank I didn't want to risk ruining...
It's a 1921 Oldsmobile. It now resides at:
Ralph Foster Museum
Address:Cultural Court, Point Lookout, MODirections:US Hwy 65 to Hollister, which is just south of Branson. Exit west onto Main St. and follow the signs for the College of the Ozarks. Ask for directions to the Museum at the gate...
Gimp,
I have a "T" on top of the tank......there is a pipe sticking out of it with a cap on it....the idea was that once I had the tank filled I would remove the cap and that would keep pressure from building up in the tank while the oil was heating.

I have seen 60 series Detriot engines (in a bg generator) converted to run on natural gas.....no reason a multifuel couldn't be. Prob have to have some sort of oil injection system to keep the IP lubed.
I agree with Kenny......in order to use the105 bed and make it look right you still have to extend the DS.
The reason I put a flatbed on mine was because the little rat bastage that bobbed mine did not have the driveshaft extended......I had originally planned to use a 105 bed but I ended up...
UPDATE!!!!
As of 1300 CST Monday there is still no answer at GL Redstone.
I spoke to one of the Public Affairs folks up there (professional courtesy still working for me) and the power is off on most of the base.
No time line yet on when the issue will be resolved.''
I'll update as soon...
Relax...he is spraying the new environmentally friendly water based CARC. I'm sure there is huge fan drawing out the fumes before he breaths them in. You know he has a green card too.
