Stalling the engine using the Jake is asking for damage that you prob don't want to have to pay to fix.....either replace the original or put a manual shut off (not a bad idea to have anyway).
I drove the truck back from Redstone and it is a great runner.
All I would do is change the fuel filter as a preventive measure and put the spare on the right front (the spare has never been on the ground).
I had to slave it off but the batteries seem to be holding a charge now and I crank...
Several years ago at my former LZ I kept my deuces out in front of my big shop building. We were on a well traveled county road and occasionally people would knock on the door at odd hours asking for gas (usually crackheads or tweekers).
At that time I was running a 50/50 mix of WMO and...
Mike is the MKT guru......we have had one set up at the GA Rally for the last two years and it has been the center of attention and food service. People love the Army style chow we make.
Your sink is DA BOMB....we may have to copy that design for the rally this year.[thumbzup][thumbzup]
Yea Kenny they are from your neck of the woods....and know you by reputation (for good or bad).
John's brother is a MV collector and I think John said he was at the FL rally this year.
If they come to the GA Rally maybe they can link up with you for the trip.
In this day and age it pays to secure the fuel tank(s) if you are in an area where security is a concern (I live out in the woods and local people know I am armed at all times).
There have been several threads over the years on this site that showed how people were locking tanks on their MV's...
I have a M275 and I love it....it is the N/A engine but the fuel has been turned up....according to the speedo it will run 65 at 2800 RPM.....not sure if the tach and speedo are accurate.
It is fine on the flats but with a load on it falls flat on it's face on a hill......I did pull a 35 foot...
I got a visit from John and Sol (his screen name escapes me now) to pick up their M101 trailer I picked up for them a while back. They did a "turn and burn" from Miami to get the trailer.
I love meeting folks from SS and they are good people. Sol actually bought the trailers for John. A woman...
If I make it back to Jolly Old England I'll put you one my list of places to see.:jumpin:
I can fly Space Available on military air craft and I am planning a tour over that way before I have to start wearing Depends.
This sounds strange (even for me) but it worked for me.
Heat the shaft up and apply a candle to the hot shaft which will cause the parrifin to get sucked up into the hole and between the shaft. Let it sit awhile and try the BFH again or use some sort of hydrolic ram to push between the lunette...
Don't know what your intentions are for recovering the cushions but I used new shelter halves (GP Tinys) that I had laying around.
My upholstry guy was pretty good at improvising.
One thing a lot of people don't consider when buying a big MV is the cost of tags and insurance.....my wrecker ate my lunch on that note. $750.00 every six months and I could not tow anything with it on the highway. I didn't do much better on the M915......I put a Farm tag on it but it still set...
I made the post quickly since I was multi-tasking.....missed the fact that I didn't hit the W.
Shoot.....you all know who I am.....sometimes I don't remember but you guys do.
If it is an M35A2 it is not a 5 ton....it is a 2.5 ton (deuce and a half). If it has six lug nuts it is a deuce......ten means it is a 5 ton.
Sometimes you just have to lift up the tail and look.rofl
The kids that got up in the truck were facinated by the guages and the view.....one little guy wanted to know if he grew up and joined the Army if he could drive a deuce....he was dissapointed when I told him they were no longer in active service.
Several of then had their pictures made in the...
I got a call from one of my buddies late this evening that they were blocking off the street in town for a car show and wanted to know if I would show the flag MV wise.
I didn't have a lot of time to prep the Primary Deuce so I just mucked out the cab and headed to town with a load of metal...
