Just thought I'd pose a little brain teaser... Whilst doing a little window shopping, I noticed a watermark on some of tthe GL pictures as being what looked like GPS coordinates...
To Quote; E 120(deg) 89' 01.03" N 110(deg)45' 67.02" if pic isn't clear.
.. so without actually visualising it, I...
Not sure if this ought to be clarified any - but I call a 5th wheel trailer a semi trailer - one and the same thing, which has up to 50% weight on towed vehicle - maybe you were refering to a full trailer, one that has a steer axle(s) at the front with a drawbar (as a converter dolly) and...
I see your 'Stop for children' and raise you a 'snow cone'....
... I bet Soni is glad that he didn't post a 'projected ideas' thread now!!
... also, if this 'game' continues, we should get back to the specific forum chosen.... Hot rod!
... Yes, what Ron said. Rear fog lights are red and as bright as brake lights. A solid amber light on the rear means (1st) OVERSIZE, flashing amber means bigger (2nd) OVERSIZE or a slow hazard. (Not including European style amber turn signals)...
... and $700 is way cheaper than a trailer too!
Was the 5th wheel plate a new purchase (and if so, where from) or did you have one kicking around in the yard?
Would the ramps be stowable on the 931 - so you could use it without the Deuce for other collections?
Nice simple solution.
Interesting topic... I'll take that challenge... without a towbar! (not that it would be legal on the road and not including static equipment ie., gennys etc) : -
M816(wrecker) + LR 101(1 tonne wrecker) + LR Lightweight + Sankey trailer + MT500 (M/C) = 5
Great work Soni. Gets my vote for best thread!
Looking forward to the "Module" build pics etc.
You will have your very own "Thunderbird 2" with all the Pods.... as piloted by Virgil Tracy - no relative of patracy, though he does know of 'said' Virgil.
"F A B"
Jimc - do you think you could figure a price for a set of the parts you are making - enough pieces to repair/replace a whole 003?
I haven't got my genny home yet, so I don't know the condition of the link ends etc., but a complete set for spares down the road would be nice.
Thanks.

Where was this one? A friend of mine has just won one in PA - he's going to use the unit on his F450 for road side repairs/servicing - tractor trailers and farm calls etc. I am going to use the trailer to mount a big compressor/MEP-003/blast pot.
Cage Code:

Ah yes... couldn't see only 2 trailer axles in the first pics therefore not 870. Very handy though. Nice setup.
How do you like the winch hookup rather than landing legs?... or do you leave it coupled...
Look pretty well matched side by side. M916 not that small after all!
That trailer "clone" looks like a Marine M870'ish.... what's the story on that one?
My pickup is a 1/4 million + farm truck with little paint left in the bed... but I just can't seem to part with that Cummins!
As far as a trailer, could do that but the tolls would make it less economical!
I always have chains etc, I think the issue will be navigating the goose neck ball and...
Don't intend to hijack thread - but didn't want t start a new one either!
I too just won an MEP-003a. Looks like I'll be subscribing to some more threads for help and parts. TM already ordered (I prefer to have one in the grubby mits when working).
So - I am going to assume that it will slide...
