I'm going to try to make this one.
Being on a fixed income I have to choose my events carefully.
Since I was in the Army (1972-1976) when Nam was going on I feel an attachment for these vehicles.
Plus I'll get to see my old buddy Papa Bear before the GA Rally.:jumpin:
Years ago (and I mean many years ago) when I was in Germany we could order yellow fog lights for the deuce.....they had a Federal Stock Number.
They worked really great in the snow and fog....many a time I used them and the marker lights to keep the glare down.
Everything you needed came in...
If you just going short distances and hauling wood, rock, gravel or dirt a 5 ton might make you some money.
The deal breaker on the 800 series trucks is the 250 Cummins engine......parts are hard to get since it is (according to the Cummins dealers I dealt with) an obsolete engine. It is also...
What Papa Bear said. You can't have more fun without taking off your clothes. (Although we don't peek).
Good vehicles, good folks, good food, good times.

If the item requires an End User Certificate you fill out the paperwork and go into a holding pattern until the powers that be give you a clean bill of health. Once the EUC clears and you get a paid invoice you make an appointment at the site where your item is located at and then go pick it up...

It is being built in the hopes that their Congressional Representitive can get the gooberment to buy it with more borrowed money.
When...
I group people who run straight pipes on the street in the same catagory as the drooling imbeciles that ride around with their stereos blasting out the window.....festering boils on the butt of humanity. As a matter of fact I just had an OP ED piece published in my school newpaper reflecting...

If you are only going to buy one MV (yea....right) you are prob better off with a private seller.
You can drive the truck, check out all the systems and see what condition it is in.
You also don't have to wait for an EUC to clear so you have your truck immediatly.
Buying from GL is a crap...
Whenever I feel the need to kick myself in the azz I just pop over to GL and review how much money I have spent with a company that has the customer service values of a telemarketer boiler room operation.:roll:aua
