Hahaha! Well, I'm just a single guy, but I guess that makes me both husband and wife? So never mind, you are correct, the wife was happy. ;D
But my co-pilot seems to like the extra accommodations on the new mattress at night. ;)
You bet!
From your description, it sounds like you're describing the bolt hole for the ground wire? Maybe this will help, here's a picture of my alternator when I replaced the too-short ground wire:
Before --> After...
That looks to be the right-side of the truck, so I would guess the alternator, which is right above the primary fuel filter (the primary fuel filter is out of focus on the top left side of the picture). I suppose it could have also went to the starter (which is in the top right of that picture)...
Last Saturday (July 28th, 2018 ) I used my M101A1 to avoid a $60 delivery charge and picked up a brand new queen mattress and box spring (okay I guess they're no longer true "box springs" but are "foundations" as I was corrected on my vocabulary usage at the store  )
For the record, a...

There's many, many parts vendors for M35's...
The following are my go-to businesses and reflect only my person tastes and experiences. This is not a comprehensive list. Your experiences and preferences will likely be different than mine. I've never found a single source to be 1-stop shopping. I...
Oh I beg to differ. :-P
Sure, the bolts might come out but it's a huge pain to undo those clip/locking electrical connectors on modern stuff. Reaching into some tight space, trying not to break it but you can't see what you're doing, trying to get a screw driver under the tab or to push one tab...
I participated in my 8th year of my town's Independence Day parade:

The parade was to start at 10:00 (blessedly an hour earlier than all previous years). It leads with the Color...
I was considering doing something somewhat similar with my Aero Turbine 3535XL muffler, but I am hesitant to modify the original exhaust heat shield - you know, that idea that it can always be, more or less, returned to original. But at this point I'm not sure who would ever want to do that...
Nice and clean paint job and the best of the 395 tires. :goodjob:
On a side note, I recommend rolling the cargo cover sides the other way (roll inwards vs outwards) it looks cleaner and won't trap any water in the roll if it happens to rain or cool off enough and condense on the top.
Example:
Provided no mechanical issues (about 3-4 more engine starts by my calculations), I'll be in the Kaysville, UT Independence Day parade that starts Independence Day at 10am. This will be my 8th year. I have my front bumper banner planned and will update my running thread with the results...
I had an M816 wrecker on my 4" unreinforced concrete for about 18 months, no ill effects besides a lot of oil and brake fluid stains. Though the truck mostly just sat, not much driving around (The truck has driven up and down my driveway maybe 1/2 a dozen times). It had 11.00x20 tires on it for...
All the insulation in my hard top was junk and was just storing dirt and rust. In my gun-ring install thread I restored the hard top and put in sound deadener and a couple layers of closed cell foam insulation. It is so nice now (though, the insulation I picked is unfortunately very fragile and...
Since I was given TWO of these coveted coins, and they mean a lot to me, I thought I would be quite remiss if I didn't actually carry one in my deuce and a half (especially by this year's Independence Day parade). I purchased an overly-expensive 1.75" key ring coin holder and hung it from the...
Well, it was put off for a while, but the troop seat pads were finally shortened to fit. My dear mother helped me a bunch since she has all the technical sewing skills. We trimmed the pad to length (only measured the passenger side and then mirrored it for the driver's side). The strap loops on...
It may come as a surprise to some, but I actually don't care much for car shows. I might be interested if it lasted, at most, two hours. However, there's a "Sounds of Freedom" car show that's not far from me that I like to support, which I attended yesterday. Though this year was better than the...
Yesterday I fixed the front of the trailer wire harness as the previous owner had cut off 4 of the plug and butt joined a 4-pin connector.
I then modified a 7-pin replacement harness to connect to the trailer harness (note, the dang Chinese manufacturer of said replacement trailer connection...
I have been negligent in my duties to post everything that I've done with my trailer here.

Back in April 08th, 2017, I purchased a complete set of metal bows and corners from a seller sub4411 on eBay. I would not recommend doing business with him.

I cut out the floor mat below the driver's seat so it'd sit 3/4" lower. The change was very noticable, and a good improvement to my view out the windshield.

I noticed that the ground wire for the alternator sure was pulled tight and had a hard bend...
