    Northern Utah camping/offroad trip

No one else confirmed going? I would have thought there would have been more interest/enthusiasm. Is it too late in the year or something? Or are most of the Utah MV folks going to the SteelSoldier's Georgia rally? :gimp2:

passenger side 5 gallon fuel can installation.

This is a mod I want to do, but I hadn't considered using rivnuts. That's a good idea! Did you install the solid rivets using your Marson tool? What size of rivets/mandrel did you use/need?

    Parts for Scepter cans

I realize I'm bumping a thread that has been dormant for 6 years, but I just hate to see questions unanswered when I know of at least one answer. This seller "JAGMTE" (Just A Guy Making Things Easier) also sells heavily on eBay. But save a few dollars (already expensive enough) and you can...

Brake fluid leak at banjo bolt on air-pack

Today I spent over 4 hours visiting and calling 6 additional businesses. Two of them were hydraulic shops (one was even called "Hose & Fittings"). None of them could match this fitting. However, the latter hydraulic business did indicate that they possibly could make me a custom hose with the...

Wrecker bumper vise on a deuce

I do not believe that the stock (existing) bolt holes will mount the vise far enough forward to hang material in front of the bumper. I'm honestly not sure it would be possible to mount it far enough forward to do that - maybe if the front feet were located on the bumper mounting holes...

Wrecker bumper vise on a deuce

I hear ya Mr. Gimp! I have thought about putting the vise on my work bench instead... Hahahaha! The good news is that my deuce is stored in-doors so the vise will spend little time in the weather. I do think I'd like to get a cover for it still, if possible. I am also trying to decide whether...

Wrecker bumper vise on a deuce

I've browsed this topic on Steel Soldiers for quite some time. There's some pictures out there as others have already done this, but I couldn't shake the bug of wanting a vise on the front bumper of my deuce. It seemed like a very handy tool to have on the truck. I honestly would rather not have...

Brake fluid leak at banjo bolt on air-pack

Thanks Rusty for the suggestion. I'll see if I can't replace it, or, at minimum, clean up and use one of my spares.

Brake fluid leak at banjo bolt on air-pack

I have 3 extra of these fitting adapters from forum member red's deuce's air pack and master cylinder. Upon digging them out today, two of them used to have sealant tape on them - probably from the military that way. I don't believe red ever needed to work on his master cylinder/air pack. Seen...

    Northern Utah camping/offroad trip

I'm in for the Friday and Saturday playing. I've got firewood, but won't have enough if the group gets too big. I'll bring the deuce! (obviously ;)

Hope you were able to buy extras! ;)

Brake fluid leak at banjo bolt on air-pack

Yes, this bolt, or adapter, exactly. Perhaps my use of terminology has been in error. It doesn't have a second nut. My apologies. I thought that it was leaking from the flared connection and that's why I replaced the hard line with a brand new, very nice and pliable copper line. As best as I...

Brake fluid leak at banjo bolt on air-pack

Well, I did use a smooth washer (I bought extras too) and I did keep the old washer. I shall inspect and compare the two tonight and report back. I only saw the one washer on the air pack side connection, but you're saying there is a washer inside the flare fitting with the hard line?

A3 fuel Problems, was broke down in Morganfield, Kentucky

I am of zero help physically, but the member maps say forum member M816Buch lives in Morganfield and has an M816 wrecker and M109A3. I sent a private message to M816Buch for help on your behalf. With these two forum members are an hour north in Mt Vernon, Indiana: monkster leroygreen

    Question on slantbacks

I know Midwest Military Equipment fabricates their own HMMWV hard tops. Though, Hew Hampshire is still quite a distance from Missouri. I have never done business with them but they're on my radar as some of the lowest cost vehicles from a shop and reseller...

Brake fluid leak at banjo bolt on air-pack

After replacing my master cylinder and air pack on my M35A2 with new ones, I have a slow leak at the air pack banjo bolt on the line from the master cylinder (not the banjo bolt to the rest of the brakes), and I just can't seem to get it to stop. On this reused banjo bolt, I have installed a...

    "Rescued" M816 Wrecker

That seat will certainly sit you up straighter, but I think it looks way more comfortable than the MRAP jump seat. Especially for getting legs under the steering wheel ;) Hopefully that blower fan still works. Does that style of heater have its own "radiator" like a the deuce? If so, I wonder...

    The Novice Deuce

An "off grid" MV camper/home is a dream few have realized. I whole heartedly encourage anyone to get into the hobby, regardless of skill level (that will change), but only if finances and local laws aren't prohibitive. Gringeltaube is absolutely correct about skill easily changed, especially...

Bumping the thread since it's been about 6 months. Still interested ;)

What did you do to your deuce this week?

You've done a very nice job! I especially like your battery disconnect locations. Top-notch wiring, crimping and heat shrinking too!
