Thanks, it makes me feel less stressed. How fast do you pull them and do they track well?
Are the tires run flat, tube or tubeless?
If anyone has one of these trailers sitting level and can get me a hitch height, I would be very appreciative.
Finally pulled the trigger on a sweet 11hr Generator and now planning for the long road trip.
Does anyone know the interstate highway laws along the east coast for towing these trailer (RT95 Carolinas to MD), or RT81 are possibilities. I highly doubt most people have tags on them to transport...
When are the 803's going out of service and will they flood the market with units driving down the price once they are out of service?
Anyone know what replaces it? What kills me are the guys paying $3500+ at auction and getting burned by bad gen heads or water filled engines. If too many people...
This thread has turned into a debate about interlock versus transfer switch so I figured I would mention why I went the interlock route. For starters datadawg hit the nail on the head, as I did not want to pick select circuits as with most transfer switches and I am doubtful that most...
So, I was thinking and researching some more and if there was something wrong with the fuel pump and someone kept cranking it over would that increase voltage over the quad winding and fry the voltage regulator and/or stator?
This is assuming that the slow blow fuse upgrade had not been...
I took a look at an electrical panel bus online without any breakers in it and it makes sense now. If my understanding it correct, the 240V loads are automatically balanced since they use 1 of each leg. If I assign L1 and L2 to every other vertical slot and add them up, it looks very evenly...
This is what I need to learn more about to have a better understanding. So it is not the right half and left half (even and odds) of each panel, but every other vertical slot? That makes sense now that I think about it... (and even seems obvious).
Thanks DieselAddict.
I will just drop down to 50A breaker because 4A is not worth the added cost for 60A outlet and wire. Isn't the conductor rating also based on cable length? I am only going 5' inside with 6/3 and 10' on the outside and the RV cords are normally about 25-30' long. Thanks for...
If I can run my second 2 ton A/C compressor, that would be awesome but I am not sure I can do that with an MEP-803 and have enough reserve power for other items? I did put hard start kits on the A/C compressors so the RLA of 54A should be much lower. They are on 20A circuits.
First, I want to thank everyone on here for the help they provide. I belong to many forums but this one is hands down the best!
Planning to prepare my interlock back fed electric panel for a larger generator (hopefully an MEP-803A). Plan is to replace my existing 30A double pole back fed...
Live in central Maryland and looking to get cost on pickup and delivery of 1200lb generator in the Fort Worth area and have it delivered to me in Maryland.
I have a tractor with forks to unload it but still need to figure out loadout at pickup.
It can be picked up and held a few days or longer...
R Racing - Sorry I will get the location fixed. Working with a mobile device and its not so easy at times.
DieselAddict - It looks the same as in the photo. The part tied back was one with the rubber bellows.
Thanks to everyone for the replies. I was really concerned by the Hz gauge and its...
Found MEP-803 with a few hundred hours and not sure if I should pass and look for one with no issues or not. I am new to these so I need to learn all the issues and fixes.
Seller states that start switch on panel only makes the starter click. Starts it using the secondary start switch after...
Confusion on quote
"I did have an electrician come by, his help kept me from miswireing a couple breakers when I moved them for the Interlockkit. (separate circuits w common neutral have to be on alternating breakers in panel) Glad I called him."
I was a bit concerned when I read this post...
I have been thinking about it plenty.
Figuring on a base load of about 2500w which covers heat, lights, water heater "running amps only", UV water treatment light, TV's, Sat boxes etc. and other junk the wife and kids have plugged in. But then I have fridge, freezer, 3/4 well pump that could in...
I am leaning more towards an MEP-803A. My heat pump hot water heater runs on 600w but the compressor requires 19.6A to start (240v). Between that, the well pump, fridge and freezer I may be pushing my luck on anything less due to starting loads. Those are items that are difficult to control when...
