this is what i don't understand about certain insurance companies.. Those in the office do not understand that in the open countryside a vehicle is much safer and secure sitting out in the back pasture sight-unseen than it is in a building that can burn down or whatever .. They once asked me...
I had a feeling your initial post was hinting at that, between the lines .. I don't have any idea if positive pressure would hurt a Cummins PT pump or not .. The pumps I use on two of the M809's are of the feed-through type, thus they stay turned off at all times except for filter changes
Any flow on a multifuel is a good flow when you turn on the accessory switch... Most of mine don't squirt up more than an inch or two at the filter bleeders, yet the trucks start/run normal.. The lift pump isn't designed to make pressure, it's only to provide constant flow.. I presume so that...
This design of lift pump doesn't generate hardly any psi .. They are an "indirect" or "bypass" pump, for lack of a better term.. Most of the fuel gets slung aside as it spins.. When fuel level is low enough, you can hear it churn away from the impeller. If the fuel lines are restricted, this...
Not 100% sure which armor models these are for , bought them as a package deal , intended to use whatever fit the M114 I was to purchase but didn't // Numbers can be seen in pics ..
Quan 5 : single-pole / momentary contact , appear used. .. Tested, operational (M35/M54 preheat, plus...
I have come across this attitude several times within the last 25 years , more-so within the last 10 of them.. I have even witnessed poorly-funded towns / municipalites be pressured out of their existing military trucks & equipment, and many are highly-pressured by their Boards or powerful...
on a construction site after my active army stint, a similar situation entailed but someone knew the porta potty (sitting on a pallet) was occupied by a certain joker loving to mess with peoples lunchboxes, tool belts, whatever, and apparently it went too far... Someone tied a rope around the...
It figures that some AHJ (authority having jurisdiction) would mess it up ...
I know the following example doesn't apply to your current situation, but certain lunacies happen.. Case in point, an ADA restroom inside a 60x100 unpartitioned public market"warehouse" versus an ADA porta-potty...
Multifuel truck in-tank pumps are getting fewer/ farther between, and costlier .. As mine fail and I ran out of spares, i first went to using 24v aircraft in-tank pumps.. Often the same maker, a similar design, somewhat cheaper, but they need time invested to retrofit the wiring and make it...
Sure ! I would love to help ! I will be the one walking to/from the toolbox and listening to all the cussing and fuss-tration coming from inside the tunnel
My problem isn't with any mess or tight working space .. The problem is being able to get my head, arms, and hands to move into the positions needed after i get up in there .. Joints don't cooperate like they used to. . And then there's the "oh sh-- , got everything in here but the inch and...
:D another word is "repurposed" .. Hey, I hope you saw my edit about the double-frame and the spring pack.. There is the chance they replaced the bed and you (hopefully) have a wrecker chassis under it .. But what is fooling people (including me) is the cargo truck tool box sitting where a fuel...
M62 /M543 wreckers and M54 cargo share the same wheelbase length and axle positioning, albeit with some differences in the frame.. What was done to his truck is a natural fit , however, the spring pack of a M62/M543 is totally different than the M54 .. I forgot to warn him to look out for that...
you will be better with 22.5's if you have a multifuel under the hood.. They are the tubeless equivalent to the original tubed 20's .. 24.5's are equivalent to the old 22's , and of course taller .. You need to conserve power, not lose power due to taller tires if you want to do any road running
1: What you have is a bastardized truck, and not one part of it belonging specifically to the M809-series
2: I spy an Austin-Western boom and bed from a M62
3: I spy an M39-series cab & chassis (mack diesel, or continental multifuel under hood (multi turbos are below manifold)
4: Due to the M54...
gooseneck beavertail trailer .. your 2wd will have better traction and better handling with the ball in the bed ..
when I switched from bumper-pulls to goosenecks for my lighter hauls, was almost a night-day difference..
