somewhat related to a/c in here but i'll note that many 'sold as a chassis' vans in the last awhile often had a manual "high idle" pusbbutton on the dashboard which to its obvious cue holds the gas engine at over 1000 instead of around-700-or-so, sometimes its simply due to aux electrical loads...
@Another Ahab umm maybe military-grade coffee as the bickering bleeping "brass" always need too much of this stuff?
(I know I'm being very silly about this hehehehe)
@Guyfang right had a bit of long day yesterday i didn't think they simply used the one same cab for all different variations of the build
and @WillWagner interesting because i know quite a few trucks that had solid of a flat fender that didn't care for sitting/standing on it but i guess that...
I like that sort of front with the partial-wedge alike hood, whether the fenders are slight-curvy or "flat top to easily stand onto for some reason" i don't care about by then tbh heh
and i'm just curious but..a shop truck..so what was the shotgunner(passenger) doing having an entire hatch...
not to be rather a bit offtopic (nothing to do with gasoline that is) but I wonder how 'bad' a relatively small amount the usual heavily-processed oils you find in food store would be in a multifuel truck assuming the tank was already about half filled with really good stuff if not just simply...
@264charlie I haven't exactly seen a lot of everyday news (versus test drives near the workshop etc) but even although its a different category of suspension you could maybe nevertheless compare up to https://www.edisonmotors.ca/lseries as they apparently have choose to use this type...
hey @G744 if you would like something very un-military different that literally ate through bunker-c oil like as if there was no tomorrow figuratively speaking then just look at this https://brasstrainmodels.com/images/UP_GTELs/UP_GTEL_8500hp-X1.jpg hehe!
(as i recall refineries didn't really...
I was a bit curious and went looking for a short time this slow morning now, theres seemingly a lot of posts about it (and you'll have t find the TM's for yourself if there was some) but feel free to start off with these two...
nice photos all of this, and its been quite some time i had ever seen one of these weird-looking (compared to nearly anything else so say no more?) 4wd-plus-2more vehicle re @SgtMajHarper
and hmm don't mind me but I can can't help wonder about mounting a big rifle onto the mule in a way that...
btw I don't need a dollar for this as its not even my story in any way but..umm well..yeah..just go read this
and don't look at me with that "what..the..heck!??" sour face afterward
(and theres even at least one relationship to the military too as per this direct comment )
@Adrok got to love it when you run into someone who doesn't even need to physically look up at all if you know what i really meant there?
even then umm well geeze yeah when you keep going back many to the same small food store (think just a few employees if not sometimes only one all day long)...
@MatthewWBailey considering that its only for emergency purpose relatively speaking I guess that I won't be surprised if perhaps indeed noone knew it was put back on wrong till the one day someone does need it and it doesn't work
classic willy in holland? why not?! (i admit that technically they probably already were there in quite a sizeable number 80 years ago you know..)
either way @SES nice photo and again welcome to this forum
@tmuenster although its a bit of 'orange and apple' thing at times the same applies to a lot of other mechanical stuffs, cue an industrial-designed 4-banger diesel refitted for vehicle usage being a slow powerplant but would last well over 200k miles versus a car manufacturer designed 4-banger...
@tommys2patrick i don't want to give you any crazy idea but if you're very curious about "being armed" in the water you simply need to check out australia aka this: https://www.ausbg.org .. just read the fun part located below the 'learn more' link
its a bit of a wild hobby thats for sure, and...
i don't even know what to say about a hmmwv even less your own personal preferences, but even then i have to say that having a passengerside fender mirror sometimes seem ideal as that lets you see whats just coming up your right side without having to lose as much forward focus anytime in the...
In regarding to @KN6KXR theres "one little catch", the m930-series had airbrakes so thats likely why it wasn't an issue for typical cdl, the m35/m36 on other hand are basically hydraulic [just to keep english simple] which would had possibly likely be a sort of "light truck with no airbrake...
and for a model train transformer(controller) that refuses to behave/function, drop it into a steel drum and beat the hell out of it!
(thats where I originally heard the idea some many years ago but the same expression can honestly pretty much apply to anything both electronics and...
