    803A droop adjust screw?

Yes, I can see this plate move with the wheel. In this pic, you can see the plate is as far as it can go. In fact, I moved the stop screw so I can move it further. It had no effect. You can see the droop screw in this pic on the left. Not sure if you can see that it is adjusted completely out to...

    803A droop adjust screw?

So my MEP 803 has always seemed to run fast. The minute I start it, it just roars away. The star wheel adjuster has no effect. I backed off the stop screw so I can adjust the star wheel more. Still no effect. The no load Hz is slightly higher than 60. I don’t suppose that is terrible, but I...

    Screwdriver in ring gear? Mep803

I’m trying to access the governor In the gear cover. One of the first things in the TM says insert common screwdriver through housing into ring gear. (to hold the engine from turning) so you can remove the bolt on the crank pulley. The housing doesn’t have any opening to do this unless they mean...

    Cranking relay terminal AI ?

Ok, when I wiped the dirt off, I found the K18 and K2. lol. Of course, I didn’t know what they were anyways, so you were a big help. I jumpered the wire and tested the interrupter. The good news is it works. The bad news is it doesn’t work from the panel switch. Let me correct that. It works...

    Cranking relay terminal AI ?

I have the cover off. In your pic, under the big row of terminals in the center is a solenoid. It looks like a ordinary car solenoid. I’m thinking that is it, but again I don’t want to get it wrong. Im testing the interrupter on the right side of your pic. It is an AC relay. Do you know if it...

    Cranking relay terminal AI ?

So I’m trying to do some testing on my mep803. In the TM, it says jumper a wire to the “cranking relay terminal AI”. Of course, they don’t tell you where that relay is or which terminal would be AI. (If there’s more than one) I’m guessing it’s just 24V +, but I don’t want to screw anything up...

    803A governor?

Yes, I guess I need to do it on a different computer. (I’m using a IPad.

    803A governor?

When I click on that stuff, it brings up a box that says “do you want to download”. I click yes and it disappears. Nothing else happens.

    803A governor?

Well, I didn’t see the last two posts till now. I backed the screws of some and the hz went to about 62-63. If I turn the adjustment knob , nothing happens To hz. The cable is moving the plate. I have several issues with this genset. The switch that closes the main relay doesn’t work. (No power...

    803A governor?

No, it doesn’t go faster when I rotate it. But I suppose with no load it is already to fast. I will try backing the screw/bolt out tomorrow. (It’s dark)

    803A governor?

Where it is right now runs fast. If I rotate it to go faster, it moves the cable, but has no effect on the speed. I think the engine maybe in partial “runaway”.

    803A governor?

Ok, I followed the cable back to the throttle. It appears to be hooked good. I adjusted it in and out and it does move the throttle. There are two stop bolts. They are tight with lock nuts. I guess my next step would be to loosen the idle side and take it out some? pic of 10KW with 5KW in...

    803A governor?

I will check it out right now. It is the freq knob. (At least that’s what it does on my 5KW one.)

    803A governor?

I just bought a MEP803A. Checked all fluids and hooked some batteries up. Started it up. It ran kind of rough at first and then smoothed out, but seemed to be running fast. The volts were around 240, but the he was pegged at 65. I did plug a hand grinder in the curtesy receptacle and it worked...

    HEMTT, well kind of

Going down the hill, it really feels like I’m going to crash into the ground. I dug it with the tractor in the backround. It is about 6’ deep. The hill is the dirt from the pond. (It’s my shooting backstop)

    HEMTT, well kind of

Thanks guys, I don’t have much for video. Here is a short clip during building/testing. Here is another video of float testing. I’m not sure if I mentioned that this can be amphibious. I don’t have the floats bolted on in the other pics. I need to do a lot of work on them. I just want to get...

    HEMTT, well kind of

I thought you guys might like to see a couple pics with the canvas cover. I made this and it didn’t really come out very good. I learned a lot and if and when I re-do it, it will be much better. I still like the look better than no cover. I finally got the interior finished. The seats...

    HEMTT, well kind of

When I get it on the road, I plan to drive up to the army base and see if they will let me take a pic next to a HEMTT. I imagine it won't look so much like it when next to it. Although the truck is the same width, my cab is 2 feet narrower and the roof is about 1 foot lower. My windshield is...
