A welded frame with good guality, heavy duty locking casters is the way to go. Set it on and forget about it. You could always put a T handle on the frame and two swivel casters on that same end and pull it around.
Be sure to sweep the path, your casters will find every pebble.
Ok, then it goes in dry. Thanks for the advice. I will keep the board updated as to my progress on this set and share any anomalies that I find along the way and try to take and post photos of things to aid others in the future.
So far its been an educational and worthwhile adventure.....even...

Update:
I did a little shopping around here locally and found a place that stocks the bearing.
It cross references to a KML BEARING, #6305-2RS
DIMENSIONS:
25mm ID
62mm OD
17mm tall/thickness
The suffix denotes seal type (2RS) is 2 rubber seals. They are available with metal seals also but...
For the guys here who have rebuilt or changed out generator heads, have any of you successfully found a source for the end bearing on the 803a?
I might be tearing this generator head down in the future, I will be in need of a replacement.
Has anyone here cross referenced the part # 510-0112...
Yes probably in an engine that had an intact intake manifold where the co2 wasn't diluted by air leaking closer to the intake ports.
I hope not to have the occasion to find out..
Had that likage fall off one of my sets also.
The lever appears to be of soft metal so over tightening could strip out the threads. I tightened mine and used some red loctite on it.
If it falls off again, I'm going to figure a way to put a bolt from the inside facing out and use some stop nuts...
TB2 cleaned up, new stainless hardware and ready for install.
I didn't know that the metal mounting bracket is a copper alloy plate. There was substantial galvanic corrosion between this plate and the case when I removed it.
I will be using stainless bolts and nuts and applying a thin coating...
Guyfang, No offense taken at all. I take all input from you as constructive and informative. I hold your opinion and guidance in the highest regard always.
I am using this set as a learning experience. I have thought from pretty early on that there was an issue with the windings. I wanted to...
Yes, I had mentioned delving into K1 before but didn't get to it.
This unit has corrosion problems and I am working through them bit by bit. I look upon this as an educational experience more than an exercise in frustration.
I am both mechanically and electrically/electronically trained so...
Another nice day today, 50's and calm.
Finished cleaning up TB2 load terminals, waiting on some stainless hardware being delivered tomorrow to use on the varistors to reinstall it.
Reinstalled TB4 and reconnected the generator wires T1- T12, then reconnected all the other wires according to...
Agree, if it's not getting sun to the solar panel on top, a tender would be a good idea. Also check the acid level in the batteries before storing it and make sure they are full.
I would exercise it at least once a month to keep things lubed.
Had another decent day today so I went back to the generator.
Unbolted the current transformer from the back of the housing and disconnected primary leads from the terminal board and cleaned them, tidied up the primary windings with a couple of zip ties, then pulled the terminal board TB3 out...
