Fitting / Thread size M809-series fuel filter canister

Hello all, keyword searches did not yield anything specific .. Am looking to add a spin-on ahead of the OEM canister without altering the original lines, need to keep this particular M817 original and uncut for a quick return back to OEM when we are done with a project's numerous upcoming...

SOLVED ! (Looking for ID of this turbo or has one like it to sell, or parts, etc)

Yes I saw the kind with the clamp band but not any Holsets with 8 bolts, and this one doesn't have a band under the bolts, only flat retainers. Am not saying there are none, but looking at hundreds of turbo pics was making me bonkers so I resorted to asking around. As mentioned, there are no...

SOLVED ! (Looking for ID of this turbo or has one like it to sell, or parts, etc)

I believe you mean to say the engine should have an HX35? ,, This one is not a Holset turbo , looks nothing like the HX35;'s I see online... this one has a sectional intake housing that is moveable when you loosen 8 bolts, I believe most holsets have a 1-piece intake

SOLVED ! (Looking for ID of this turbo or has one like it to sell, or parts, etc)

Am seeking a replacement, or just the intake spool, or at least learn the make/model of this thing.. Air filter hardware damaged the 1st set of fins.. There are no markings, stamping, no tag, nothing.. Was on a late-90's-2000's 24V 5.9 cummins in a specialty commercial application, and am going...

Need help with a strange M211

Nice , yours is the 2nd highway dept Hy-Hoe conversion I have seen in 60 years, never came across one that was mil-tagged .. Nice 730(?) as well .. A neighbor bought a new 830 which we borrowed in '69 to plow a hardpan clay piece , was impressive and it gave the other neighbor's 4010 quite a...

So you have some brake stiction going on..

wow great job ! You certainly have more ingenuity and patience than many .. Once upon a time long ago I had to fight with stubborn things like this, but first came the old D6 and later the M62 wrecker! If I can't pull it or slide it, I lift and plop it. lol .. But when it comes time to...

    5 ton new brake problems

When you replaced the master cylinder it is critical to have the linkage and pedal adjustment within the correct tolerances per TM... There is a possibility the MC piston is not returning all the way, even if the pedal travel seemed adequate when you first started out .. therefore, it will be...

    My first multifuel?

you are lucky to have the wrecker's micro-loc feature regardless of what body you will use. .. Not all wreckers had this item (surprisingly, my M62 did not receive one when the army "upgraded" it to an A2 .. Without it, holding the truck still while using the boom is a real pain sometimes ...

Show your 5 tons in the snow.

1st of all, it's a 48-footer with slider almost all the way forward , things are already very tight around here even with the OTR civvy freightshaker .. lol.. 2nd of all it depends on the size of the bales .. We can stuff not more than 560 of my own bales in this hi-cube trailer, but only...

    stencils

This may or may not help you or others, but I do have a pair of Marsh electric-operated stencil machines, both of them make 1/2" characters, purchased in the 1990's at an Army DRMO . . Springer1981 is correct, they are heavy as heck . I shipped one via UPS many years ago and it busted out of a...

    Repli-tub

I am considering same thing for my M38A1 as well.,. Where and who made the tub must be considered .. Years ago I put an "economy" tub on a CJ7 and right from the start a number of important things did not line up properly. From previously working with aftermarket truck fenders, I expected bolt...

What is a “motor Pool” CJ5?

correct ! You mentioned civvy wreckers, the BDE HQ maint shop at FLW, Mo was using a late-60's-early-70's IH Paystar (2070A) wrecker in OD-green when I was stationed there .. Base-support motor pools were full of 1960's-70's IH cargo (stake flatbeds) from 3/4-ton (1210's) on up to what they...

    M34 Active duty

nice! thanks for that info .. Came across many hydramatics in the mid-70's at a DRMO and out in the civvy world but none had that tailgate and all of those were duallies of several body types... By then, the only single-wheel versions (M135) I saw were missing their beds , replaced by...

    M34 Active duty

correct, sits lower .. same situation as with the M49C (obvious wheel wells) versus the M49A1-A2C tank bodies (straight-line above tires). .. I have not seen a straight M50 thus I cannot comment about the height of that body
