No.
Keep in mind when titled as an antique it will then be marked with the unladen weight only, since you are not to haul anything.
You should have no problem getting an antique plate for your vehicle.
I bought a truckload of 16.00's from him this summer.
He gave me an excellent deal & was very accurate about the condition.
Definitely a good person to do business with.
Your ticket definitely sucks, but I found this information that I did not know....
Those operating the following vehicles in interstate commerce need to have a DOT medical exam:
Vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) or gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), or gross combination weight (GCW)...
I had a filter that I crushed trying to get it off with the jaw type tool until it finally slipped, then tried a screwdriver that finally tore the filter in half. I then removed the rest with pliers, down to the base & tried to use a chisel to turn it.... Unfortunately there was not enough...
Not sure of the makeup of various ATF types, but the type "F" had a friction modifier added to help clutches grab better. I used to put type "F" in many GM performance builds to get a better shift. Not sure how this translates to it's lubricating quality but thought I would throw it out there...
I had the same issue as I have Hagerty on my antique cars & the truck does not fit in the garage so I could not insure through them.
Also Hagerty stated car show & parade use only so it's a risk just taking it for a ride.
I got classic insurance through my State Farm auto policy that did not...
I ran a 700R4 behind a built 427 w 4.56 gears & 35" tires. It was a good combination that I would not hesitate to do again. With all the 4L65E & 70 parts out there now you can build an upgraded 700 rather easily for less than a 4L80E that will hold decent power.
I had one that was siliconed between the 2 rim halves. There was so much surface area bonded that I had to chain it between 2 trucks to pull them apart.
As stated above, that is typically caused by the oxidation on the metal.
The best method is to remove all oils from the metal with good cleaner, then aggressively clean the aluminum with a (new) stainless brush.
The dull grey finish on aluminum is aluminum oxide.
It melts at a significantly...
Mine is related to air pressure & not balance....
Does it do the same thing on every road or just on certain conditions?
On my truck, the air pressure was critical.
I am at 42 in the rear tires and 60 in the front now (with 16.00's) & it seems pretty good.
I still get it occasionally hitting an...
The 700R4 has a large drop in OD, so the 4.56 will work out to a decent cruise ratio in OD.
I used to run my Chevy truck with 35" tires & a built 427 with a 700R4 & it was a good combination.
Tire size has a lot to do with gearing also, but the overdrive allows you to have the best of both...
My take is that unless you are snow plowing, or towing heavy loads, you likely don't need an auxiliary cooler.
Generally, I always buy a large enough cooler to totally eliminate the factory radiator cooler & install a trans temp gauge if I am using something for severe duty, but... I don't live...
