Mr George and I will bring drinks. We need to answer up guys. Mr. Tim has been good enough to put this together and support it with a great amount of sweat equity, time and money. Now we need to do our part.
Frodo - Beans
Me - Drinks, ice, plates
We still need folks to answer...
axle hop
I recently experienced the axle hop you are talking about. I took a 5 ton to the beach and the rear tandems hopped terribly when I accelerated in the soft stuff.
You need to mount 4 shocks on the rear (1 @ ea tire) so the tandems can not rotate freely about the pivot point.... or you...
Ink
Sent the pmt Mr. Tim.
My vote is for black ink unless they can find a true OD. Be careful with a commercial company that does not also bleed OD like us. They might think that pea green, forrest green or baby s*^# green is "close enough" to OD.
Black is black...

ideas
Excellent questions, all. I am stuck in AZ for another week before I can get home and make this more than an academic idea.

Cummins
Hey Franz,
I have a good friend in Vista CA that put a 6bt in a ram charger. I think it is for sale. Drop me a line if you are interested.
The motor mounts for a 2wd and 4wd are different. I have both and you are welcome to them. Lets get together after I return on May 2.

Yes but...
It is but you need to understand why. The low range reverse ratio is 11:1 and inexperienced drivers transition from drive to reverse in haste and shock the case. The cases I know of were also tied in with a heavy load. I have used reverse in low range with no problem.
The...
250
This is the 250 which covers all of the M939 series trucks. I may be wrong about the 6.14 ratio as it may be 6.44. The calculation deltas are narrow.
The ESP truck's t-case is not divorced and I it is a 1:1 ratio. I could not figure out why the two trucks ran close to the same speed/rpm...
FYI All,
The t-case in the M939 trucks has a .732:1 high range ratio instead of 1:1.
This is a difference of 15 mph at the same rpm.

I have been racking my calculator and brain to figure out HOW my M925 runs 60 mph at 1850 RPM.
When I calculated 1850 RPM / 49" dia / 6.44 ratio I got 40.87 mph. The GPS says this is not true.
I got to digging...
The axle ratio is 6.14 so that is an easy fix but the numbers still do not...
ring mount
I am going to reuse an M901 alloy ring that I had on a Toyota diesel BJ-42. The ring is ~60# and it worked out very well on the Toyota with an M249 SAW. I mounted it to 1/4" flat alloy diamond plate via 3" standoffs. Truthfully, it was not a very clean job (pissed at some hogs...
I have an M901 3/4 ring that I am going to mount on my M925 truck.
Does anyone have any specs on the (qty 4) legs that hold the LWS on the M939 trucks?
Are the door jam leg mounts the same for driver and passenger sides?

HA!
Good one Franz...
I was looking at wheel base numbers last night and it looks like I will need to cut an S-250 down for the 5th wheel to fit properly.
I am in the desert for a few weeks so all of my assumptions are academic at the moment. I can not wait to get home to get this going...
Shirt
No need to spend extra money to mod the logo. Last years logo was great. I vote that you change the year print them... on tan. :o)
Black ink on tan cloth...

Has anyone put a set of Alcoa 22.5X14 and 445/65R22.5 XZL on an M800 series or M939 series truck? Any pics?
I have seen the pic of the red/black bling M931 but they were skinny tires/wheels. I am asking about the super singles.

OK, Soni has really caused me some sleepless nights. I am laying here staring at the ceiling tonight and I thought "why not the M925?"
We have all seen the M920 Soni has built. Very useful and well thought out truck.
I have been looking for an M920 to trick out as a heavy recovery vehicle...
rally
Mr George and I are in. one XXL shirt, one XL shirt and one Med shirt please. Bringing one of the 5 tons.
Thinking about putting one of the M105 CBCs in the back (fits under the cargo cover and bows!) to have a sleeping area with a porch...
