Mine had a flat panel riveted to outside. Under it was the Am General Lettering.. See if you have a raised panel with perimeter rivets.. I drilled em out and the panel came off..
Need to do it on the ground.. Have someone move steering wheel while you look for play under vehicle. Wear eye protection and maybe some ear plugs 👍Yes vehicle running..

Just from my thining, Anerobic may be used in stressed areas. Such as the stearing knuckle. No give between surfaces, where as a rubberized sealant would have movement. This is mearly my deduction, but sounds good.
