You must check out this site it is full of information you want. Up here in Canada we use a lot of Bedford MJ trucks converted to campers check them out on the above forum. I just sold one that I had made and might convert another one I have to a camper as well. Eddy
Be careful about adding ATF as the red dye is the same as that used for no tax off road fuel. If you get your tank dipped by DOT you can end up in a lot of trouble. Eddy
Some upgrades make sense such as the Tie Rod ends Ball joints and even the 4 speed trans and parking gear of the newer transmission, but trying to civilize it I do not think is a good thing. Eddy
Welcome from Canada I spend my winters in AJ AZ there are some good toys for sale near here just check the classifieds and Graigs list I saw a Pinz near here at a good price. I am near you just give me a PM if you would like to get together. Eddy
Be careful about adding ATF as the red dye in it is the same as the dye in off road only fuel and if the DOT dips your tank you can be in a lot of trouble. Eddy
If you cannot find an FMTV there are several Bedford MJ units around Edmonton that you should be able to find reasonably priced and they are similar although the Bedford is much older. I have had one for yrs and they are a good unit. Eddy
Anyone know a good supplier who would have an A-7260 Shift plate for the T-84 transmission. Ron is out of them and every time I contact a supplier they seem to not have it or have jacked the price from there web listing significantly.
Thanks Eddy
Is it diesel fuel? There are some small rubber plugs next to the glow plugs on the fuel return lines that rot and leak fuel. The fuel leaks down the motor from everywhere and it is hard to find where it starts. Check for a cleaner spot where it has been leaking. Eddy
You might want to join the NDMVCA North Dakota Military Vehicle Collectors Ass. they have some MT members and are a wealth of information and help. Great guys and fun too. Eddy
