If you want to defeat the sprag, place an air valve on the line from the compressor to the sprag. Then the front end will free wheel, and you should gain some miles per gallon. Do make sure the sprag is in neutral before cutting the air supply.
I have found that a blond is a good cure for both the noise and the cold. She puts her hands over your ears for the noise, and sits nice and close to you for the warmth.
What air pressure are you running? On my M814, I run 80 on the fronts, 60-70 in the rears. The change over from NDT's to the G 177's was like night and day. The radials make the M814 a sweet heart to drive, and the ride is much better also over the NDT's.

Military vehicles are not speed demons. They do NOTHING fast. However, they will get you there. I love my M814, but when I drive it, I have to remember it is not my Sterling. 50 mph is all you will get, so just plan on getting there a little later.
I haven't done much. Just some odds and ends. It seems like I got home from the Ga rally, and work reared it's ugly head. I went and got the batteries back first of December, and just installed them today. It just seemed easier to jump start it off the 5 ton, since it was right there. I did...
