    2013 Haspin Discussion Thread

Need to purchase a ball joint fork. It looks like a giant two prong meat fork that you insert the ball joint into. You then proceed to hit the other end with a small sledge hammer, and boom, ball joint is loose. They also make ones that fit into a small hand held air hammer...

I think they got this from IKEA

Quite the operation. I wonder, after doing the 1st one, just how fast a group of mechanics could put a plane together? All the air pumping for the landing gear, I would find, borrow, beg, steal, purchase, or otherwise acquire a compressor

    Patracy's "SEMTT"

If your engine is in good tune, then 2 batteries should be good down to about 25ºf. Any lower, and you will need extreme measures to get her started. I got the M814 started at 29ºf this winter, without the intake heater and primer. She didn't like it, but she did start.

The Overall Fun Factor: M35A2 Deuce vs. M818 Tractor

5 ton all the way. More power, more torque, more everything. It's funny, when I take the M814 to a rally, all my friends insist on trying to fill the cargo bed with stuff. They have not filled it up yet.

5 Ton, super single, road side tire change done safely......

Make a good tire "FORK". This is a tool that has a long handle, and two arms that cradle the tire. It allows you to lift, move, and set the tire on the axle. In the picture, it is the object in front of the axle with the single rim on the axle. It is about 5' long, with just enough fork to fit...

    Ferro's new M37

I found a M37 on gov.deals, that was located in the next county over. Since I already have a nice M37, and Ferro was handy, I talked him into bidding on this one. It was a wild ride, but Ferro finally won the auction. We were supposed to go together on Friday to retrieve the M37 from it's...

Wyoming to Georgia 4000 miles for a cargo bed

Well, it must have gone down hill since I have eaten there. And I would starve to death before eating at a Waffle house or Huddle house.

    Love Bowties

Well, if you could fight the urge to cross the river, where there isn't a bridge, you could do better then your brother.

    Love Bowties

I would rather walk a mile in a hailstorm carrying a Chevy hubcap, then ride in a Ford. And don't even ask me about a Dodge.

    RC model of an M35A2

    new m37 saved

I will take some pics of the work next time I am at Ferro's FOB. Right now the work is to get brakes, then lights. All of the brake lines are badly rusted, and would bust with the pressure of of a soft fart. So far I have the back half off, and just have the front half to go.

I have been told that the S10 tank is a drop in. However, my tank just had one hole, so it is repairable.
