Very interesting Lino! I really like that Reservoir, and the sounds of your dual filter bracket. Will you be machining them manually or on a CNC? I only ask because I bet you will have lots of interest from others in buying these things from you, so make a couple if you can. I'd be interested in...
If I remember right the fitting that the rubber hose connects to is jic-6 so you could just leave the elbow fitting in the IP and connect to it the same way the current hose does. That's what I did with mine, post 174 (link below) shows the hose setup I used. I'm sure you will come up with...
Incorrect, they do independently control circuits. The driver's side airpack controls the rear axles circuit and the passenger side airpack controls the front axle circuit. Id be comfortable using one of each airpack on my truck.
I got my pump out of my m109 box truck without dropping the tank, I did have to rotate the pump a certain way before it would have clearance to come out though.
Here is some more brake line and fitting info if you are replacing anything else or needing to make new lines: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?123335-DEUCE-BRAKE-LINE-REFERENCE-GUIDE-(Sizes-lengths-fittings)&p=1539040&viewfull=1#post1539040
Pretty sure it's 1/4 npt but Ive heard those fittings don't come out easily due to the thread sealant they use. I've had to drill/machine and re-tap some of the other fuel fittings before since that sealant is the permanent type.
Thanks a ton for the kind words. Its easy to spend a lot of money, or a lot of time. The wheels/tires cost a lot of money regardless how cheap you get them for, but everything else can be had pretty reasonably if you instead put the time into finding the deals on ebay, craigslist, and the...
Rusty is right on. If you wanted to add a remote reservoir to the existing reservoir like folks are doing with the single circuit trucks, then you could but there are more chances for leaks on the dual circuit unit. First you would have to remove and plug both ends of the vent line going into...
Looking to get a car (Ford flex) shipped from Wilkes Barre PA 18702 to Hanover Minnesota 55341 by/during first week of Feb. Car has some light front end damage but will drive onto trailer fine.
Thanks, Aaron 763-744-76 two nine
Well I've been through the process of converting something to a camper and don't want to go through it again as it took far more time than I expected. I've also followed a member's thread on here who converted a shipping container to a camper on an m36a2 which looks like far more work than I...
If you find you need a new HH, you can get a new Asian made Hydraulic Head from TNJ Murray for around $300. I think they are listed higher on the website but call him up and ask, I know a few of us have bought them for that price in the last year. I bought one just to have on hand for if/when...
From what I have seen, it appears most of the "new, never been used" 395's that are currently for sale have been made in 2008-2010 for the mrap program. You can find members selling them (new, never been used rim/tire/runflat) in the classifieds for $300/ea. Or if you are up for a drive, there...
Its Tee'ed to both through a checkvalve on the drivers side frame rail above the spare tire area. Its on pdf page 44 of this TM HERE. You can find the check valve's cheap on ebay, its usually a Bendix 278614 DC4 (I replaced mine earlier last year).
Its also mentioned in the TM for the M35a3...
Here is a link to some exhaust stuff Silverstate55 did, I especially like how he routed his exhaust to change the number of bends and reduce EGT. Someday I'd like to copy some of this myself.
