I just spoke to the lady in the office and got some pics right before closing, and talked to one yard hand. I will go see the boss on Monday morning and get contact info for everyone. I don't know if they will ship but if y'all arrange for it and pay for it from your end I can help with...
As long as you don't beat me to them this coming week!! I was really thinking about buying them all and reselling but don't have the time to mow the yard much less to mess with that. I posted the pic of the old military trailer too bc it's just waiting for a new home and seems to be very solid...
They also have stacks of Allison transmissions and CAT C7's, all were in running trucks when they came in some are still in the front half of the chassis complete, I have to verify but I heard a number of $2500 each. I think that is for a motor and trans but have to confirm and they said they...
Ok, I went to the scrapyard to look around better and holy cow!! Mountains of tires and wheels some well used most new or nearly new, I saw some on aluminum rims and some on steel. I am eyeballing the MVT 395/85's there are many brand new ones and they said the ones they broke down all had the...
I have a AM General part number 5995342 and have done some searching on the net to try and find out what it fits but no luck. Does anyone here know how or where this information can be found if at all possible? Thanks in advance.
l will do some more searching tonight when I hit the bed, you would think they would get more from selling to one of the big surplus parts suppliers like the one in Colorado, I cant remember the name as I am still new to this. Not Colorado, Boyce in Utah was the one I was thinking of, still very...
A very large BAE systems facility near me closed and they are scrapping out unbelievable amounts of trucks, parts, and chassis. They sold quite a few complete/near complete trucks and some parts but are scrapping a LOT. I have seen a stack (100 or more) of new complete chassis for trucks with...
I spent many years in a maintenance machine shop and ordered maintenance parts and supplies for the whole plant and I can say from personal experience that the Viton seal is MUCH better and will last a LOT longer when dealing with oil. It is more pliable and stays that way for a long time, I am...
I will do so, even better the deal with the brother in law is he transports, I get the winch truck with the D turbo, the 10 new tires and the best parts of the two and he gets the other cheap
Ok, talked to my brother in law, turns out him and his brother have always wanted one, and the best part is that he owns a big truck and a heavy equipment trailer. So it looks like unless they are just complete junk we will get both.
I spoke to him and since they have been sitting he is going to get them out and running minus the batteries and clean them up, he also said he would prefer that they both went and would discount them bc of the deterioration and the fact that his wife just wants them gone. I am hoping for 4k for...
My thoughts exactly, found out that he bought them 4 yrs ago and hasn't driven in two years I do expect brake problems now especially with the humidity there he is near the coast. I am sure this has also contributed to the deteriorated appearance.
No, sorry about that. I've been trying to break that bad habit, it comes from filling out work orders trying to give detailed descriptions in as little space as possible.
I actually am a machinist of 22 yrs, also do some welding and fabricating, have owned and restored old cars, and been riding and repairing atvs since I was a teenager am self employed now full time at my atv/utv repair shop, do the machining at my other shop as needed now days, and just about to...
Yes, she's gone and hoping the deuce works out, I am probably better off but I don't see how she could do this to our daughter, anyway, acesneights thanks that's the kind of list I was wanting, and thanks to everyone who has contributed, all good info and keep it coming he is supposed to call me...
I am sure it will get better, thank's, still waiting for pics from the guy, he is a respected member on the 1919a4 forum so I seriously doubt he is BSing me, I want to see it real bad too this is killing me, I just hope its still green or tan, not red or that hideous neon yellow that some fire...
