I painted mine with a brush, in the summer heat (South Carolina). Hard as a rock next day. Three years later I can see where the paint is a little thin, and there are places where the underlying paint has come loose, so it's been repainted. Still looks good.

DUKW tires are the same size, but a much higher load rating (11.00 x 18), usually a G or H, while the Goat tires are an E or F. Which makes sense, since the DUKW and cargo is over 20K, while the Goat is under 10K.

Khloe is really growing up! And, yes, the pop rivets will fix the hinge problem. Get the ones that are LONG, as there is some fairly thick metal to set them through (ones that can 'grip' on 3/8" thickness or more).

Flywheel housings for Marine Corps trucks did not have the storage hole because the plug was left in place all the time in operation as part of the deep water fording kit. Truck was ready to 'go swimming' all the time. Plug only removed for inspection when at the motor pool.
