Got a line on some more Scepter fuel cans. Not NOS like last year. Quantity and condition TBD, so the price is in flux. Will post more info and pictures when available.
It's not a diesel, and it's not an MV, but my Corolla gets an oil change every 5000 miles. Next month it will be the 410,000 mile oil change. I can still accelerate uphill here in SC, but not in West Virginia with the A/C running. YMMV.
They should both receive, but you are going to have a lot of problems if you ever want to transmit, unless you modify the antenna. Fortunately, someone has posted how to do just that recently, with pictures. Should be in the radio forum.
Food will probably increase about a dollar a meal off the MKT. Clint is correct about the up-front costs coming out of our pockets with the hope of recovering it in food and tee shirt sales - last year I was out about $2200 when I arrived on Wednesday, and that does not include the steaks for...
If you wanted a flatbed, I would suggest using a generator trailer bed as they are 123 inches long, regular 105 bed is 108 inches, vs the standard deuce bed of 144.
First, you need to re-read the 'rules of the site' and post your CITY and STATE in your location, 'North America' does not cut it. I'll assume you are using the 416 with an M151 MUTT, so the tires and rims should be the same. Thus, look for tires and rims for that vehicle.
Oscar,
You're just a couple of miles west of Shealy's BBQ! The whirring sound might also be the in-tank fuel pump, which starts up when the power switch is put in the 'on' position. Usually cannot hear it because of the buzzer when air pressure is low. What do the panel gauges read when the...
You can get a 'correct' Clay and Bailey oval top from them (Kansas City if I remember correctly), but they are not cheap, $600-700 each. I own two of the tanks, replaced one of the tops, but not the other.
There are several threads on putting a regular hitch on the military trucks. Frame is usually the same width between the deuce and the 5-ton series (check the individual models to be sure), and they are made in both bolt-on and weld models. Most are available for around $200, and one or two...
And, I have pretty much all the TM's for the deuce on the MKT thumb drive (along with 5-ton TM's, radio TM's, the MKT TM's, FM's, TB's, TC's, AR's, STP's and other info that I thought might be needed).
105 generator trailer bows are 62" high in the middle when installed. My 116 bows seem to have disappeared at the club compound, so they probably got sent to the scrapper by the OCD neat freaks.
To restore something to airworthiness will mean a complete teardown, inspection and rebuild with certified parts BY a registered aircraft mechanic certified to work on that type of craft. Even if you do all the work yourself, it still has to be approved by an FAA Certified Mechanic, every step...
