That bike looks like it was @ the Bellview show a few weeks ago & is a very nice example of what Uncle Sam provides his guys with. It received a lot of attention from the guys there.
I third the motion as Wes saved the day for me when my trucking company stiffed me on picking up a M1082 LMTV trailer from Ft Bragg. GP was going to charge me $25.00 a day till the trailer was picked up or abandoned. He then took the time to move the trailer to Albany, Ga when time permitted for...
I am going to finish replacing the fuel filters in the new to me Deuce & see if she will start. If that works, the oil & filters will be next. A Deuce that has just been let go from the military in top shape is not a reality now days, just a pipe dream! Still worth the trip!
This is the type of light fixture I have, but it has a white case instead of green. The bluish green light is dim & the white light is much brighter, but not blinding. They work very well.
Why not use the light fixture from armored vehicles that is a light blue/green or a bright white light @ the touch of a switch & is 24v to match the vehicle? You can set power to the door switch if you like & then select the light you want. I have a few NIB ones that I have put in the Deuces or...
Welcome aboard from Gainesville. you have found a great forum to refer to for your military equipment information & a lot of guys with first hand knowledge.
I have the same problem with a no start new to me Deuce, but I am still going thru the normal items leading up to getting her running. I don't want to hijack this thread, so over & out!

Yesterday was a short recovery trip from the Gov Planet storage facility in Lake Butler to my place in Gainesville. The Deuce is a 1985 AM General cargo truck that I wanted to recover with my Deuce. The Ibis Tec tow bars I have only have feet for the MTVR vehicles, so plan B was to use a massive...

You heated up the engine & stuff starts to clean up, loosen up & your blowby will increase. My truck will do that & it only has 12,000.0 miles on it. The road tube is on there for a reason, to blow all the oil away from the truck onto the road.
That first picture looks hauntingly familiar. Longrange4u, excellent work on your end. Glad to hear that all worked out for you on the trip & helping folks in Florida in their time of need.
