The OP did turn off the battery switch before the start /run/kill switch. You can do that on an 800 series, and get away with it(not a good idea). It is a big no no with the 900 series.

Depends on what I am doing. If the M814 is gonna sit for a while, I leave 2" of head space. If I am on the road, then I fill it to the vent hole on the screen support.:mrgreen::jumpin::cookoo:
It also depends on the loading of the trl. If the the trl is tongue light, the lunette will catch and bang more as it bounces around. Tongue heavy loading will fix that problem.
