I did some quick research this morning on the amount of preparation time versus painting time to get a good rule of thumb. The numbers vary but conservatively it looks like 80% of the time should be in preparation versus 20% in actual painting. Commander Z I believe is closer to 90/10 but...

Does anybody have a busted 1009 rear top that is good from the cab back about 6 inches or so? It needs to be in good shape in the whole front area where it mounts behind the main cab. I have an idea but need the front part of the rear roof to pull if off?
Our warped Commander did it again, I got a text before noon and somehow the door and fender got back on with all the floor board on driver side repaired

:-o:-oAlso you have to keep a very watchful eye on the Warp Commander, I am working on the back tailgate diligently and happen to look up and doors are flying off, fenders dropping to the floor. I walk to the front and the grill and bumper are gone.
The WARP drive was on overdrive.
Dassani is english for necessary hydration from a head that was pounding from stupidity the night before. Add to the pounding head, a wide open air compressor running for 4 hours, rock and roll wide blaring out the stereo, gas welder, electric grinders and you have for one painful morning :(
Lesson to the wise, don't stop by at Zouts to check on the progress of a project. You will be put to work immediately with no mercy. Long day today, I was at Z's by 0730 with coffee and hand and could not escape till after 1400 hrs.
