Understood and Sidling Hill and Cheat Mountain are a bit threatening when you first look at it from behind a deuce wheel. I cut my teeth driving those hills with 1200 gallons of MOGAS on the back of a 5ton.
John Appel (jcappeljr) is who I would contact. I've worked with him before and he's...
Crap, 272 miles, drive it if it is fully operational. I just drove one 1500 miles. I-95 to I-70 to I-68 to I-79. Driven that route before over to Fairmont and then down to Atlanta. Did the Pittsburgh to Morgantown to Martinsburg 2 years ago with one heck of a load on the truck and trailer.
No, nothing like that and I would have noticed. I did see the accident with the 100% melted vehicle on the east bound side of I-10 somewhere east of SATX.

For all those wondering about me.
Official 1435 miles.
The odometer on the civy vehicle on the way over said 3100. It wasn't until almost in Rockmart that I realized....it's in kilometers...DUH. And I had been thinking, I need to get me one of...

Search for a post (not thread) for VIC and me as the poster from about 2007. Look at that thread. I had pictures on there. Answer to the first question is 2.
Well, we got snow and ice today. This is having a trickle-down effect, among other issues going on. FMJ and I are going to have to bail on this one. Sorry folks.
Looks like the Willys people hosed that one. Has everyone took on the role of Bozo the Clown planner. Failure to consider second and third order effects.
Sure looks that way. If I don't, I'm going to have a Navy Chief really PO'd at me and that would not be good. They have a way of making life entirely unbearable for such transgressions.
We will be there for Saturday only and it will be for a limited time. Hopefully we will get there around...
I dislike the fact the M1101 doesn't have sideracks. Also dislike the fact it's hard to find tarps and bows for a decent price but that a different matter.
Wondering if anyone ever did a mod to put sideracks on it? Maybe use the HMMWV sideracks as a base to begin the mod and let the welding...
