Very easy to do. Just DO NOT loose the "jesus" clip and the plunger sleeve pin (tit).

You could run 24v if you wanted to. You would still have to remove the resistor pack and the controller card would not function properly as it is designed to read 12v (might even burn it up, never tried it ;-) )
There is no need to cut anything if you do not want to. Just make a new power wire.
The warning will not be removed. It is directed to EVERYONE, just not you. As you can see others are injecting their thoughts.
Getting an SF-97 and a title for off-road is perfectly fine. Side stepping the OFF-ROAD restriction is not.
Please remember folks that the newly released HMMWVs titles and SF-97s are for "OFF-ROAD" use only. Any other discussion about titling them otherwise on this site will get you banned.

Welcome to the site. You have your work cut out for you.

Covered many, many times. It is the fuel shut off rod on the IP that is sticking.
Gimpyrobb has posted many times with all the pictures.
Not in the TMs as far as I know.
I'll have to look but I seem to remember that they started making a kit just for the CUCV with the correct capacitor.
Found it. Not a kit specific for the CUCV, but it does have the correct capacitor

And they are a member here. Ordered many kits from them.
Just be aware that like most parts these days there is a chance that you could get a bad parts. Part of the game.
The correct part number is listed in the parts manual and many of the stickies.
The original is no longer available. I found a slightly different used one on fleabay a couple of years ago. I do still have the busted original for anyone that wants it.
I will be heading south in the next couple of weeks hauling a suburban w/ a suburban. I should be able to through them inside if you haven't found other arrangements. PM me the details
We have a fellow member that drove his Deuce from Seattle to Oklahoma with his Corvette in the bed and pulling a M105. Interesting trip.
