I am trying to find what plug fits this NATO slave port adapter, I think it may have been designed for a ration heater power supply. Any help appreciated.
Thanks
NSN 5330-00-080-0277 P/N 11595527, I tried the usual suppliers and found none. I got mine in a lot of winch parts on ebay. My thought if I did not find one was to try and find a oil seal with the correct dimensions. You would need the ID of the 3" boss welded to the hull and the OD of the...
Happy to support my fellow MVMVC club member cmpphil, I have been in his rig on trail rides at the rally and it is an amazing and rare machine, good luck Phil.
The snow, cold and Ice have taken a good hold here in Maine, goat activities for the winter have come to a halt. Did finish painting the chain/hook assembly and cable clevis. Still need to order the wire rope and finish the console for the pto handle.
There are two types of wiper motors, handed and universal. Your TM may not be an updated version, the updated version shows both types. From what I have seen the handed motors use a push on only wiper arm and the universal type uses a push on held on with a nut. The TM also shows the two...
A slight diversion from the winch project, found a new rear cover here in the SS classified section. I had the end curtians already and the color match was pretty close, lots of turn fasteners. I don't have it secured yet, just tossed it on over the bows. Also decided to remove my soft top...
Looks nice, I did a full restoration on the 1942 MB I have, mine was made March 25 1942, another collection in PA has the brother to mine 1 number older. Some things you may want to adress to bring it up to snuff, it has a civillian windshield frame, e brake is missing, civillian voltage...
I'm not sure how to remove it but I had a mirror fall off and by a miracle it did not break. It was held on by a clear silicone adhesive. You may be able to pry gently with a non marring tool while heating the face of the mirror with a heat gun.
Here is the new clevis for the winch cable, was able to track down the manufacturer, could not locate one surplus. They are made by Electroline, part number GD-143-N and the plug for the inside is MB-743. The original one I had was quite rusty and I snapped the nut off the cross bolt trying to...
That plate attached is a sponson/mount for a M151 series jeep, it attaches to the jeep fender and the MT-1029 radio mount attaches to it. It's not needed on the M1009 rack as the MT-1029 bolts directly to the mount. It's nice to see he saved the 3 legs, those are usually missing.
Finished bolting the winch on today, thought I would never get it done having to try and track down all of the pieces. The hull seal for the winch input shaft was a real treat, not much room to move around down there. Still on the list is to finish blasting and painting the chain/hook...
