20 ft of hose can increase the amount of r134. Are you using an ac manifold gauge set with high and low hoses? You can monitor high side readings with temp charts if you see any increase in pressure but it sounds like you need more refrigerant.

That set up for the a/c condenser/fans is totally different than anything I have seen. Some were mounted on high brackets over the canvas top and I have seen some more vertical with different brackets from the floor not from the fender sides. Also the placement through the window is different...

I see you have the a/c unit in the back? Can you post more pictures of the unit and how it is mounted as I am thinking of doing the same.
maybe the clamp and tape act like a bump stop so it can't be pulled off easily. Acts like a sliding mechanical lock. The hmmwv locking brake handles can be easily found. I have seen them range from $50-$100
That gizmo was the intern solution to the non locking parking brake. Not sure of tape or hose clamp?
I bumped my parking brake installing radio trays. Truck rolled backwards even here in flat land. Minor scrape on wife's suv bumper. Very easy to knock forward.

Since you are Close to Albany in Ga, Gp is selling later model a2 trucks with 6.5 and 4 speed. Expect to pay a premium but if it is in your price range, you will be starting way ahead. Also if slantbacks is a preference, then those USMC units are the only real source of slantbacks being sold...
The 3 leg set with 2 of them with plates look like lws set up. The 2 with plates look m939 specific for the front of the cab by the door hinge as the legs in the back use u bolts through the cab.
