    Motor Blown....Advice Needed

I have a government rebuilt 6.2 in New Mexico if you decide you don't want to go through all the hassle of the 6.5 and 4l80e upgrade.

    The Novice Deuce

Just a thought but there are four wheel drive busses. I purchased a short bus that was four wheel drive from a school district and paid $500 for it. My brother flew in and drove it 500 miles. There are good deals on busses straight from the school, just have to look around.

Noise levels in cab after installing DynaMat

What is the gauge installed below the original cluster with the twist valve? Is it a fording add on?

MakeSafe International's M925A2 Systems Command Vehicle thread

Make sure to take extra tires and parts with you. I don't think they would be to easy to come by in Africa.

Lots of deuce parts coming soon

My brother (searls84) and a good friend of ours (droprat) have purchased a lot of m35a2 parts and a parts truck. This is not a classified listing, but all three of us are paying members. I just wanted to let people know we have a lot of newly purchased parts from nos transmission, nos...

    Opinions on M1009 Purchase

I would not even look at it, with a bad flex plate you are gonna have to pull the tranny. Then add $500 for upholstery, rust repair, and everything else that is wrong with it. Unless the price is really cheap I would keep looking

Be careful with tires on GP.

That's how it was when I purchased tires with gl. They looked good in the pictures, and got blown out sidewalls and tons of other issues. But at the prices I paid it was still good with the tires that weren't destroyed.

Torn passenger axle boot. Need spindle sockets.

Zipper boots hold up ok and are far easier to replace. There was someone who had NOS zipper boots for sale in the classifieds. The NOS ones hold up way better than the cheap China made ones.

LDT Head Gasket swap. How many shop hours?

Might as well do it since you already are going to have it torn down. The few extra bucks will give you reassurance you did it correctly.

    Five Ton to the Rescue

That's a good looking truck! I have heard of the m930 but have never actually seen one, I was starting to think they were a mythical creature (seen plenty of m929's though).

    Engine Oil Fuel Dilution Problem

There are special o-rings that have to be used for the hydraulic head, which if I recall are viton o-rings that will not degrade like your normal o-rings. Did you use the proper o-rings? How bad is the oil leak out of the hole in the bell housing? That leak will most likely be from your rear...

LDT Head Gasket swap. How many shop hours?

With the manifolds off, it wouldn't hurt to take the exhaust manifold to the machine shop too and have it "decked" (which is what the machine shop called it when I had them do it) to ensure a completely flat mounting surface when it comes time for reinstall.

    Older axles. on your deuce.

Not all of them have axle vents. I had an older M35a2 made by REO (1954) and it did not have axle vents either. This was the only truck I had ever seen without the vents. I had wondered the same about allowing pressure out but I ended up selling the truck.

    Diesel in engine oil, thoughts?

I had one of my M-35's "making oil" and the fdc bypass fixed it right up. Just make sure to do it asap and change the oil as soon as you do the bypass. You can also take a sheet of copy paper and let your dipstick drip a drop of oil, if it has diesel in it, it will make a "rainbow" around...
