Any of you guys remember the dead clown that broke into the National Guard Armory in San Diego and took a tank for a joy ride? That thing crushed cars and motorhomes like they were cardboard boxes. His fun and games was real time real. Guy went big.
This guy driving over the Corvair is a...
Almost a hi-jack, but not quite....
Gentlemen, are all M36A2 trucks with the RHS a two section dropside? Are there only M36A2C and no M35A2 trucks?
Tanks alot.

Translate VIN to meaningful info?
I was told there's a Carnac type person on this forum who wears the head gear and has the ability to discern info from a duce's VIN (Deduce a Duce, get it?)
Here's one: 128M8-8164-NV04, MDL M-45-AZ, VIN 38764300000
I understand it's a 1969 M45 with gas motor...
.
Yes, the SF97 is EXACTLY what I am looking for. I had no idea the manufacturer (or NG units) were supplying SF97's to the military with the trucks they were re-manufacturing.
Do you or anyone else reading this have a SF97 copy that can be scanned? Again, to make yourself comfortable, cover...
Yeahbut....
Yeahbut I still gotta try. What if somebody nice and caring happened to be on the email duty when my query arrived? It may be my lucky day.....
Rick
Interesting. Did the NG units perform the work under license of AM General? Did the NG manufactured trucks come with a document certifying compliance to the new specifications?
Neither. I am seeking a copy of whatever document says a M35A3 is new for the year it was remanufactured. This is an...
48 views but no reply..... "thump, thump, thump. Is this thing on"???
I emailed AM General a few days ago, thinking they would be able to help me, but you know how those "Contact us" things go with big companies!
I imagine my email is being treated like a hot potato within their email system...
Does anyone have the documentation from the manufacturer providing proof of the date and level of revision that their M35A3 was re-manufactured to?
I am interested in obtaining a copy of this document if possible, as I am researching this time in history of the M35 over it's years of service...
Hey Andy, the link you provided takes me to the "Recent threads" section. You got any tips to help me navigate to where you are pointing? I wanna enjoy your recommendation.
Rick
None of the links work for me anymore. I click on the above link, hoping to receive an edumacation and I end up on the "New threads" page. That sucks.
Senor Gimp, can you provide a brief synopsis?
Rick
Please explain.
What I got out of bajajoaquin's research ( and jpinst's quote) is that the intended use is the determiner. If you intend to use the truck for commercial purposes, you need a CDL. Period. That seems clear to me, but you apparently believe otherwise??
Rick
Yeah, as I said, the GL "more info" data conflicts with the pics. The data indicates a N/A motor, but as the other gents have noticed, the motor appears to have (or had) a turbo.
Is this normal? One possible explanation I can think of is that the data presented on the GL site is representative...
Chuck, you have a good eye for details! Jake0147's photo clearly shows the pipe routing (and an exhaust leak it appears) bending down then back to connect to the turbine inlet. The one I posted is either cut off, disconnected or just photographed in such a way as to look like it terminates in...
Sorry for the newby questions, I'm just joining the olive drab frat.
I am considering bidding on a truck being auctioned at a location that has no preview times available. The vehicle description on the GL website says the VIN is: 4M-4048.
What can y'all tell me about the truck from this...
