Got my deuce yesterday - question about overheating

x2 the symptoms are electrical. Good of you to do the temp confirmation. My suggestion is to look for a compromised contact on or leading to the temp sensor. Something loose that can swing or flap in the wind. Congrats with your new rig. Rick

    Clutch Job!

Hi, Your idea of using a sander disc will work fine if the flywheel surface is in good shape, and just needs a touch up surface to seat the new disc. Most shops will lathe the surface to flatten it, then use a stone grinder to remove the hard spots in the surface. The grinder also provides...

1st Deuce Purgatory: EUC'S and INSURANCE

Yep, US citizen living abroad. The auction was in Maryland, 2465 miles from my home base in San Diego. My current plan is to use an East Coast friend as a resource and send the truck to Long Island, NY for storage while performing titling and registration. The ride will be $700 and NY...

1st Deuce Purgatory: EUC'S and INSURANCE

Hey Roscoe, I've seen you chime in here and there, how are ya? Post up on your purchase or add a link. Man, basic liability is elusive. I'm not done yet, but I've received these reasons for rejections thus far: 1) My daily driver is too old (1960 Studebaker Lark Wagon) 2) I don't drive my...
