Great photos, thanks! My favorite was the Sunset full moonrise reflecting on the Salton Sea.
Great action shots too, did you build the truck yourself?

I don't have any data, but you could try a friendly dealer!!!
I think you may have better luck in another forum, where there are some very friendly people sharing technical data: Unimog - Benzworld.org - Mercedes Benz Discussion Forum

Tascabe, good job and great visioning! Compared to the original bed, that M105 trailer metal is a huge strength improvement!
Congratulations on putting those parts together and making a whole truck.

Wolf, I believe the 406 indicates a short wheel base of 2380mm and the 416 is the long wheel base (2900-3400mm). Both designations are from MB, and have nothing to do with marketing by Freightliner.
This is from my technical manuals for repairing Unimogs. Surely you must have the same...
Does anyone know how to tell if the acquisition value was for the original truck built in 1968 or if its a rebuilt price? Any other info to glean from the data?

Richard,
Congratulations on the sale. I admired your truck ever since you started listing it.
I wish you well and hope the sale does not indicate the end of your participation on this wonderful forum.

I'm interested in this topic as well. I don't yet have an invoice marked paid yet, so I guess the best place to get this question answered is on the GL chat.

x2 on this idea, and I will add that it would be best to install a pyrometer gauge first, with the thermocouple positioned pre-turbo.
Base line your current fuel setting temps, then watch temps as you add fuel in increments.
I'll bet adding fuel will waken the beast within! And aid cold...
Don't think so.
#1 There are situations like mine where non-residents need to title and register their cars in another state. I presume every state has rules that allow non-resident registration. Example: Parents with their child/student needing legal transportation to attend college out of...
Hi,
I'm polling for information on which state:
A) Accepts the SF97 as a bill of sale
B) Does NOT require a physical inspection for VIN or anything else
Your state will receive bonus points for:
C) 3rd party DMV services (hired DMV guns)
D) All the above (A,B,C) but with Historic or...
Here's the whole scenario: I bought a truck in MD. Should get the paid invoice someday. Meanwhile I'm outa the country till August, and out to the East Coast mid October.
I want to use the time from now till then well and get title, plates and registration. I don't care what state. I just want...
I don't have a preference for a state. I will use a title service in any state which can provide title, plates and reg without the truck being there.
I would'nt have to use ITS (and pay $200) if I go with the SF97, hence the question.

Notice: Thread revision!!!
I found this thread doing a search. Reading all the posts has me wondering:
Is there any state that will give you title, registration and plates without performing an inspection of the truck and using the SF97?
